I have, to my delight, found a local supplier of styrene, though not their primary line. They make all kinds of display cases that may be useful to folks here.

I emailed Dave out of the blue, and I have been a real pain, and he has put up with my questions, made suggestions, and has been more helpful than most people would be face to face. Please check them out. For the second time this week I have hit on something. He is a slot car modeler too, so not entirely strange to us. Maybe we can convince him to carry a line of plain sheet styrene just for HO train modelers in addition to his other stock. He is placing a 4X8 sheet of .060 styrene on his regular order to save me shipping, and I can pick it up at their show room. Pretty neat I think. The price is very reasonable. Not worth all of his effort but very much appreciated.

His supplies of raw stock are very useful looking. The LHS in Colorado Springs has almost no structural items at all, styrene, brass or scale wood.
Looks like an interesting site. Lots of fun and useful stuff! Customer service is increasingly rare these days. They sound like they still understand what it means.

I am very impressed with Dave. I have a link in my email signature to my layout thread, and he was looking at it during our correspondence. He lives in the town 10 miles west of here so I have invited him down to see my layout. I hope to get him hooked as he says he has a bunch of HO trains that were his dads. Maybe we can get a new member here.
It's not a far jump from slotcars to trains.

Had a look at their website as I'm looking for rectangular tubing to make some stacks for my Santa Fe ALCO switchers. Couldn't find anything like that there. Is there a secrete password or something? LOL
Andy, they don't do structure items, he just has some bulk sheets available. He primarily does the display cases. Email Dave and tell him what you need. Maybe he has something you can use. The contact form is on his site.

Evergreen Styrene, has a fairly large selection of "shapes", including rectangular, square,and round tubing. Most hobby shops stock, or can order the shapes and sizes you need. Evergreen also has sheet stock ( Approx. 7" X 11" ) from .010" to .080" thick.

Carney does show tubes, rods, etc but they are not "clickable". The only thing CVMW shows are bridge girders. Have seen Evergreen & KS but I'm also looking for other sources that might have some different sizes. Looking for rectangular tubing that scales to 12" X 20". In HO that would be 0.138" X 0.230". Closest available in plastic or brass is 0.125" X 0.250".
