Jack's Jersey Mercantile needs a boxcar loaded with GERN flux for the Gern NJ Distribution warehouse. Since his layout is set in the transition era I'm going back in time a couple of decades to document the movement of NY Central 50 ft. boxcar 80775.

It all starts at GERN Industries located in West Mill, NY.

The KP&W "Float Turn", working industries near the Float Yard, pulls 80775 and a Reading box from the loading bay under the GERN plant.

The Turn drops the cars off at the Float Yard to await pick up by KP&W's 125 Southbound to Weehawken, NJ. Meanwhile, in the background, one of the last steamers on the line, a switcher, shoves a couple of boxcars into Empire Grain.

The car is picked up by 125, headed by a pair of F7s, and pulls out of town for NJ.

Hmmmm, I see that one of my pics came out with the old time photo effect I was hoping for. Anyone else having technical difficulties with Photobucket lately?
Weird. Checking later I see all of the pics now have the photo effect! Better late than never!

The used photo effect matches the layout very well. It makes a very special atmosphere.
I like it. Thumbsup
