What have any of you tried to repair a bearing socket that has enlarged itself? The offending bearing socket is in a side frame of a brass Mikado frame of a Bowser L-1. I can see the bearing wiggle and when the locomotive is on the rails, the 1st driver rises off the rail at slow speeds causing the locomotive to wobble a bit. I just quartered all the drive wheelsets tonight thinking I had one alittle out of line and hadn't noticed the sloppy bearing until I put everything back together 35 .

Let me know what you've come with,

Mark
Some brass shim stock should do the trick. Depending on the design of the frame, you may have to cut and bend it or solder it to keep it in place.

Is there enough room,to put a piece of Brass tube in it,so the axle end fits in the tube? Without seeing it,it is only a guess.
