Hey guys,

I gotta say, I miss that chat room. Anyone else for it?
I can see it being fun for some, but I've never used it, purely because I'm in europe in a different time zone, I'm usually sleeping when people were active on it, so it's of little use to me.

Yeah and I'm in Appalachia so while you are all in 2013 we are still in 1963 so the time zone thingie kills it for me as well Icon_lol !
Yes, we've discussed either adding our chat room back, or creating one that we can link to, but not be imbedded in the forum. The reason we dropped it in the first place is that our software was updated when we moved and the chat room "modification" was no longer being supported. Keeping it could cause Big Blue to become unstable and it's not worth the risk. That, plus whenever we update the software, all the modifications have to be reinstalled. Some are easy, others more difficult.

I'll tell you what, we can take another poll to see just how many people would use it and we'll ask Packey to see what he can find for us. I know it was nice to hover over the chat room link and see who was there, but maybe we can find something that would work just as well. I'll open a poll later today to see.

Uh, you should be out here in the desert where most of us don't even know what time it is, never mind what day or year.... Nope

Actually our chat sessions were active from 10pm to around 4am (eastern standard time) at times, your 5 hours ahead of that which would mean it's between your dinner and night time.
The more being talked about the chat more people would come out of no where complaining about it. It'll probably be dead since others who didn't use it talk more about not wanting it then those who mainly used it who want it back.
Never have used the chatroom much since I have this thing about going in right after the last person has just left.Aside from that those that don't use it should keep their views ro themselves if they don't like it.

I will side with the folks that would like to have it back.
John that was always a glitch of the room, someone would leave and their name would stay in there until someone came in and their named timed out. I experienced it all the time since I lived in there before Goldth

Times have changed and I couldn't do that again, I welcomed everyone that came in, it's different now though
I have opened a voting poll to find out how many of you would use the chat room if we reinstated it. You can find it here. Please vote, since it takes time to set one up and to maintain it, and we need to know if it's worth these efforts. Remember, we are here for you.

ActuallyTom, that's between our 3 am and breakfast (or starting work), so it is no use to me either here in the land of the Midnight Haggis -Your clock is the wrong way round - If I ring USA to place an order I usually have to wait till 2 pm GMT when your workers start
Ah yes, I read the chart backwards 35
Just a heads-up, but looking at the results of the Chat Room voting poll, it appears that enough people would use it to make it worthwhile to find another one that would work. Packey had agreed to put it on his, "to-do" list, and to find us one that will work with our current software. We want these forums to be user friendly and we try our best to give you the features you want. This one appears to be doable. Packey just needs to be able to find a modification that will work like we want and is compatible and is supported. With the holidays fast approaching, this may take a little while, but we wanted you to know that it's in the works..

We are also going to add the "mouse-over" hover balloon feature as well for those that miss it. We will do both if there as quickly as possible.
