how to make a gondola load with resin. Pictures would be helpful. Where do you get the resin? I have pieces of junk I have saved up and want to make a load. Thanks

To make loads using resin, you need to first make the molds. To do that you need several "masters", from which the molds can be made.
This works well for sand, gravel, or coal. but........scrap metal loads have too many random "holes" in them to allow a mold to be made. These have to be built up from "scrap".
One good source of "scrap" would be leftover bits and pieces of styrene, wire, flash from metal castings, or any other material that looks like "scrap". ( including pencil shavings hock: )
The idea of using pencil shavings, is one that I had never thought of before, but one that can make some really believable scrap loads.
The "open top load" pic I posted was made up of just such scrap, swept off my building "bench", and saved until there was enough of it to fill the gondola.

Well, depending on the type of scrap, you could cast them in resin. There are a number of these available commercially.

I think the big question here is how many do you need? Followed closely by how much time do you have? Because if you're not making more than a dozen or so, you are probably better off doing as Sumpter suggests, and just building up from scratch.
