That thing is huge! Looks good too! Are you switching over to N scale or is this a side project?

Great job on the weathering. Thumbsup I want to add a building like that to a cement plant , but not sure if the corrugated steal is appropriate for the 1940's.

Thanks Dan Misngth

I built these (Blast Furnace, Coke Oven, and Rolling Mills) a while back. I did them because i thought i could do an N Scale Steel Mill Layout under my HO Layout, well it never happened lol. So a few months ago, they all sold on e-bay, got some good money for them too Misngth There is times when i still wish i had these buildings still, but with the release and re-release of the Walthers Ashland Steel Series, i think ill be okay without the N Scale ones Misngth

Corrugated steel dates back at least as far as WWI, as shown here.

I know what you mean, I went to a train show a couple years ago and this guy was selling the blast furnace and rolling mill in HO scale - this was when they were all sold out and there were no rumors of the kits being reproduced. I looked at the price expecting to see some god awful markup, but surprisingly the price was almost retail. So I asked him if he was sure about his price and he gave me this real puzzled look and said that I was the 4th or 5th person to ask him why they were priced so low. Needless to say, the were snatched up quickly. Thumbsup

LOL Dang i know if i would have seen those i would have done everything i could have done to try and pick them up and take them home with me that night LOL
Thanks Doc , when I clicked on the link for corrugated steal I found it was developed in 1849.
I got held up in work so by the time i got to the cement plant the sun was setting so this was the best pic I could get. If you look real close you can see the roof outline in front of the towers.I'll try again tomorrow, but they are calling for some possible snow.If the weather is bad I try another time.
Today I got there in time, The sun was still up . You can see it's a big building, and is similar to your mill. It. looks like it is used for storing raw materials, I can't tell for sure.
That is a sweet looking building and the rolling mill looks a lot like that. Hmmmmm you got me thinking about modeling something like this now, but where to put it? Nope Misngth
