I came across this website when i was looking for 1 87th drybulk container trailers and of course i know there is no manufacturers that produce ones like these...until now.I've been looking for trailers like this for along time to add to my dry-bulk transfer facility. Anyway you can check them out here. http://www.shapeways.com/shops/miniature_models You will have to paint them, and they come in a few variety's of finishes(depending on the price).A little pricey, but i know you won't find these anywhere. Also check out the Dry bulk transfer machine. Awesome link, thanks for sharing it.
Come to find out that these Dry Bulk containers have been around since the early 70's,can you believe it?But yet no manufacturer has produced them in HO or N scale, except for Herpa, but those are the Euro style and look nothing like the US versions.
Where to get the matching decals ?
here's a website that has alot of 1/87th decals.Look through their PDF pages. You can also use pictures, but i'm not sure how that's done. Not sure if your wanting USA version,or German.Anyway http://www.decalprint.de/
Also another idea would be to look up all the Dry bulk container companys on the Internet, and look for the company logo, and capture and save logo as a jpg file, then use a photo editing program or Infranview program, then resize it to 1/87 ratio and print the logo on your printer using blank decal paper.
