I got the burner out of the paint shop and weathered tonight. The tower is still in need of work.

Here are a couple of quick pictures of the finished Fire Lookout Tower.
I am currently ballasting the roundhouse but may get these mounted soon.

That is really cool! That sure is some small parts for N Scale. What is it made of, those beams must be tiny! Really nice looking scene!

That lookout tower is great! He needs a satellite dish for some TV though...I mean...I know the Forestry folks are all into the great outdoors and all, but every now and then you need to see the news or watch some mindless tv.

Not much new on the ACT. I have been working on highway guard rail post's and cables. I have planted about 125 post's and need to paint them and then put the cables on.

We climbed a tower like that near Big Lake, AZ. Near the top, we were invited inside by the ranger on duty. While up there, he told us how just a couple weeks before, a big old bear decided to camp out at the bottom for a couple days preventing him from leaving. While no bear appeared during our visit, I think you need a bear near the bottom of yours.

The two towers are amazing. The watchtower type thing looks stunning in its surroundings.
