I learned yesterday as many probably have learned that Truck Stop Models is closing it doors. They were a excellent source of HO gauge vehicles. The owner and his wife have decided to pursue other interests.

I got the e-mail last night also. I have bought a lot of vehicles from them over the years. Always had great service and prices.

Thanks for let us know. I took this sad occasion to build up my semi-trailer fleet for the paper mill.

I have enough HO vehicles to populate several large HO layouts and I don't even have one.But that sale is soooooooooo tempting.
Sometimes I wonder about why businesses like this just close rather than sell. Like Standard Hobbies just shut down a few years ago and they had a viable business, good prices and were good people to deal with. Then one day, they just stopped taking orders. It would seem to me that there would be more in it for them to sell, or turn the business over to someone else to run, than to just shut down. We'll probably never know why, but it's a real shame to see yet another supplier go away, even if they only dealt in HO scale stuff. Big Grin Like Catt, it is tempting to buy some of those vehicles, even if we don't have an HO layout. Icon_lol
I always wanted to purchase a harbor crane from Truck Stop but they do not carry them any longer. At 50% off it would have been a great deal.
I may pick up a few more hilos and such since the price is right.

That's sad to hear ..
I never brought from this company since I bought all my 18 wheelers from Trucks and Stuff since they have the regular truck lines like Knight,J.B.Hunt,Swift,Land Star and other like names seen on the Interstates.
I appears that Truck Stop Models website is now down either temporarily or permanently.
