Whether they served a little or a lot, whether they were in the middle of combat or just in the background, all vets need recognition and appreciation not only today, but every day. They all enlisted, not knowing where they would be going or what they'll be doing when they get there. It's just that they serve at the whim of their leaders and risk everything in doing so.
Happy Veterans Day to all who served in our nation's armed forces....

No, I was never "in country". Fortune favored me in those days, and I suppose that my "If they send me there, I will go attitude", might have contributed to my "not getting sent there".

To the Families whose loved ones gave their lives for our country , My thoughts are always with you.
For the families of those who lie, still, where the fell in battle, I grieve with you.
