Mr Fix it, you can't grind cow feed with wet corn, it just won't work, also it would heat up and spoil. That's why they would crib it to let it air dry. Now adays it's dried in gas driers.

Cows could eat just about all of a corn plant couldnt they? Or is that just being too enviro-friendly?

Today they do, They shred it all up and put it in big plastic bags or concrete bunkers, it's called corn silage. they didn't do it that way back in the 1950's.

That turned out great. I especially like the moss growth on the lower portion - very realistic.

That's great! Only one trouble - it makes your derelict barn look almost new. I second Wayne's comment about the moss growth.

Thanks Guy's for the comments, Here in this part of Wisconsin the summers are very humid and the moss and mold grow on old wood like that all over. I just might have to do a little more work on the barn before I finish the scene.
