I've actually been doing some layout stuff the last few days. This is P.Cassar Ind. a major manufacturer of railroad electronics. On the old layout this building actually sat at one of the covered corner so it needed a wall extension to to reach the backdrop.I plan to make a few other changes before calling it done. The building is setting on 3/16ths foamcore as will the other two buildings when I am done.
I've pretty much made up my mind to paint the building a different colour as this one is rather drab looking.
Progress, while I am working on this I am also prepping some of my excess N scale for sale.
Building looks good. I posted some questions on your for sale stuff over at RR-L.
More Shapeway toys coming .These were designed by Walter Smith at my request. They will be company trucks for Kellett Transfer & Storage. If your wondering what the heck are they. They are Peterbuilt COEs.
I have not decided on a colour for them yet.
A little touch up and Kellett's has their first Peterbuilt 320.Paint needs a little touch up here and there.I still need to do windows too.
with trailer .these will actually pull 28' trailers but this was the closest trailer I had.
Should look great when you get her finished.
More progress on P.Cassar Ind. Plan is to leave the foamcore white till I get this section done. Two more buidings to go ,besides it is wintertime in West Michigan so this looks natural
Always good to see progress Catt!
Yeah, just wish I had bought 1/8" foamcore to start with.Everything showing the pictures is a re do because I bought the 3/16" first and had it all glued down.
Oh well live -n- learn.
WOW! It's been over a month since I have posted any updates.Progress is slooooow because I have this cold that will just not go away.Anyway these three pics show what I have got done since the last update. The layout base is now 1/8th inch foamcore over the beat and battered pink board. When I get to the town side that will set on 3/16ths foamcore so I don't have to build the main street up to much for the rails running down the middle of the street.
The building to the far right in the bottom picture is just there because I have nowhere else to put it at the moment. It will be replaced with a building for bagging and storing grain for animal feed and such.
Hope you feel better soon Catt.
Me too, this is getting to be ridiculous. I know I am wore out but I ain't dead yet. (I know this to be true because I checked and I still have a pulse
).
John,Your building looks great and makes me want to return to the wee scale!
