As hard as she tried my late wife never could rope me into those projects. About a year into our marriage she wanted the wall paneled to 36" and the rest wallpapered.
Me: When you plan on starting?
Wife: We will start next weekend.
Me: We as in you and the mouse in your pocket? :o
Wife: Gives me "that"
look.
Me: I'm already working 60 hours a week and that's enough for any man.
Then 6 weeks later I hired out on the C&O under the Chessie banner. The perfect escape from such work since I was on call 24/7.
