I've been thinking of putting together some Erie and Erie Lackawanna equipment. So far, all I have is an Erie rs3 but would like to pair that with 3 or 4 stillwell passenger cars. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://freepages.history.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~tubbs/ErieLackawanna/Passenger65.jpg">http://freepages.history.rootsweb.ances ... nger65.jpg</a><!-- m --> I'm looking to paint my own cars using tru-color paints but I'm not sure if "Erie green" or "Pullman green" is a better match, if anyone has some insight on the correct color.
I'd also like to do an Erie 4-6-0 , a GP7 and a caboose to go with it. As for EL, I want to do an nw2 and gp9 and cabooses for each of those.

If you get the chance, check out a book called Erie power, (sorry I can't remember the authors name). Tons and tons of Erie steam pics and info.
I fell the Eire is a much neglected railroad in the modeling world, It's motive power development and history tell an interesting story. Glad to see others interested in the old wide gauge right of way.

That's a nice looking locomotive, certainly don't need anything that big. I'm definitely out of my element with steam trains. I don't even know if the 4-6-0 is accurate for Erie but I'm trying not to be too critical of it, just some variety and interest to run. I've ordered 2 Erie books from morning sun books so I'm waiting to glance through them before I order anything.

Chech here... The 4-6-0's shown on this site would probably be the easiest to model.

I've looked through that gallery and had my mind set on either #965, 966 or 970. The Bachmann model I intend to use doesn't exactly look like those locomotives but that's what I'm trying not to be critical of.

I just purchased 4 Funaro & Camerlengo Erie stillwell kits. I haven't been able to upload pictures onto photo bucket for about a month now but hopefully when it works I can post some pictures. Is anyone aware if there's passenger detail sets/kits that would be accurate for these cars? I'm looking for handrails, grab irons, underbody details, interior details/window shades and I'm sure theyll need weights also. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

They cary tons of detail parts for passenger cars. And lots of other goodies for anthracite modelers. I'm not much of a passenger service modeler ,so can't help more than that.

This post will tell you how to add pictures to a thread. Just keep in mind that there is a size limit on the pictures you put in. If the file is too big, it will let you know. You may have to reduce the pixels or mb of the picture.

I got a trio of diesels and a steam engine. Athearn Erie RS3, EL GP9, a Broadway Limited EL NW2 and a Bachmann 4-6-0 that I started applying Erie decals to.

I got 4 NWSL brass Erie still well coaches. They are all in good shape although the one pictured is missing a coupler gear box but has the screws so thats a plus. These cars will get paired with the RS3 and 4-6-0. I also got an Erie GP7 and NW2.
