Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 34 headed for partly sunny and maybe the lo0w 40s. Still lots of snow on the ground from the weekend.

The kitchen is finished except for quarter round. I'll work on that later. Next up is to clean up the mess and return the stuff to the kitchen. Then it's on to the stairs. Ran into a minor problem.. The floor under the refrigerator apparently slopes a little at the back. The refrigerator sticks out about 2 inches farther than it used to. I may have to slide it out and figure a way to level that area.

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning. 38 and going into the 50's which is below normal. Getting big rocks for border around Wifey's garden. Then lunch meeting.

Bachmann, we have large Indian population in western Wake County. They have cricket fields and matches. They got that from you English.

Tom, good luck with the kitchen floor.

Have a good one.
Crickets, yeah, we usually get them in the summer, I think they make their way into the house to get away from the heat. Noisy little.... Oh, sorry.

Professional sports teams, we have a few here. Baseball, basketball, hockey and even soccer, but no cricket. We even had a trotting racetrack, built back in the 60's, abandon a few years later. The grandstand was really modern, and it was a landmark when you were coming back from California. Once you saw that, you knew you were just minutes from being home, that is until a few months ago when they deemed it a hazard and tore it down.
Morning. 52 and warming fast. Still cloudy but suppose to be sunny. Highs in the 70's finally.

Not much on agenda.

Have a good one.
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 29 headed for the low 40s. Nice day yesterday but won't see warm weather again until at least next week.

Wow! I can't believe it's Thursday already. Where did the week go? As mentioned I've been working on new flooring for the kitchen and entryway. Things were going well until I hit the stairs. Struggling with ways to fix them. I wold think of an idea but putting it in practice wouldn't work. I'll figure something out.

Today I'm off to Des Moines to take a test drive in and Acura NSX. Waaaaaaay out of my price range (they start at $157K) but it's the closest I'll get to a supercar. I'll stop at the G scale dealer on the way home.

Prayers for those in need.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all, well, we're back into the 80's again, 90 is now moved from today to Saturday. I can live with that. Someone in the newspaper the other day explained why us "locals" run around with jackets and sweaters when it's in the 60's and our visiting snowbirds are wearing shorts, tank tops and flip-flops. The old wive's tale is that our blood thins out over the years, but he says that it has to do with our blood vessels near the skin. I didn't quite understand it all, but let's just say, that's the way it is.

BTW, I guess it's today that is the start of baseball season, they are still talking about how it's the first time in some 50 years that all the teams start playing on the same day... That, my friends, is the news of the day.... 35

With what they're paid, shouldn't they play every day?

Well, I'm not sure if they do or not since I haven't a clue as to their schedules. Regardless, they do get close to six months off where they can tend to their other businesses like sports bars and restaurants to supplement their meager salaries. I haven't read the newspaper yet, but with all teams playing, the sports section should outweigh the rest of the paper, with the Arizona Diamondbacks on the front page.

Gunna get a bit over 90 today and over the weekend plus a few days during next week. I can see the streets filling up with those 42' motor homes towing at least one SUV, all heading to cooler climates.
Morning. 66 and rainy. Never got below 60 last night. About time. Not much on agenda today. Maybe Train Box. Got a Odyssey N&W mallet on the way. Bought used but reported in excellent shape. Price was great and got it below asking.

Have a good one.
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 36 at the moment with a predicted high of about 50.

Yesterday was a big disappointment. Went to Des Moines to drive the Acura NSX. Appointment at 10:45. Arrived at about 10:30 and was told the car had already left for Chicago. Supposedly the transport company showed up early and took the car. 3 hour round trip wasted.

This morning is off to a slow start. Didn't get up until about 6:30. Daughter called and talked to her for about a half hour. Then daughter-in-law in Houston started texting with plans for granddaughter's graduation. I decided it was easier to call than to try and answer all the texts. An hour later she finally wound down. I hadn't even had breakfast yet!

Today I need to get the back yard cleaned up. I may have visitors on Monday evening to run the trains and today will be the warmest day to work outside. Also need to make a grocery run. That will probably be early tomorrow morning. Lots of house cleaning to do also. Sister-in-law and her husband will be arriving late Sunday or sometime Monday morning, depending in whether they drive straight through from Detroit. Looks to be a busy weekend.

All stay safe.

Tom
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 43 right now headed for 30 by this afternoon with 45 mph winds. Not a pleasant day

More time on the phone yesterday afternoon. Texted sister-in-law to get an update on their travel plans. Phone rang immediately. Half hour later I had an update on their travel plans and everything else they have done since I last saw them in Dec. Also did some cleaning and got the laundry caught up. Got the last of the old flooring cut up and in the trash can.

This morning I'm headed to Walmart for some grocery shopping and stop by the car wash while it's early and there is (hopefully) no crowd.

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning. Only 58 now. Cooler than last two days. Got 100th birthday party for a lady here. Then to SisterIL's for chicken and ribs [other SIL tomorrow for chicken and ham]. Icon_lol Live next door to each other. Competition :o

Tom, next test drive, schedule it in the town where your "friend" lives. Trip not wasted. Wink

Have a good holiday.
Hello Blue
Some lite rain this afternoon. We seem stuck in the 40s for daytime highs.
No train activity this week.

Happy Easter, gang.

19 headed for 35. Much cooler than normal for this time of year.

Did some house cleaning and grocery shopping yesterday. Also got the car washed. More cleaning on tap for today as SIL and her hubby arrive late tonight. No major plans for tomorrow. Her hubby off to visit relatives while SIL hangs with me. Oh, goody!

All stay safe.

Tom
67 degrees and a beautiful day. God bless. Have a great Easter.
