Good morning all, and a very
Happy Birthday to you Frank
and to cnrglen as well.

Nice day yesterday, breakfast at the truck stop on I-10 then over to Flat Iron Mountain. Only about two other shooters there, unlike what it's like on weekends, one perk of being retired. It looks like they cleaned up the place a bit and someone filled in the ditches in the road and even put some gravel on it. These have to be volunteers since the area is private property and is not a designated shooting site, like some owned by the BLM.  Anyway, we had a good time and left before it hit 90. Still, our guns were getting a bit too hot to handle. Don't know if we'll be going out before the Fall when temps get back to reasonable.
Thanks guz.  Sunny and 73.  Being lazy this AM.

Yesterday, got Wifey's fish pond going.  She will put in plants and do plants all around.

Lunch with Wifey, son and DIL.
Greetings, gang.

Partly cloudy and 67 with an expected high near 80. Only slight (20-30%) chances for rain for the next week.

Very entertaining t-ball game last night. The kids were 6-7 years old so lots of fun to watch. Not much on the agenda for today - pay bills and put the screens in the front porch. The rest of the house has combinations but we decided to leave the porch with separate storms and screens. Makes the area feel much more open in the summer. Normally have the screens up by mid May but the weather has been running about 3 weeks behind the calendar this year.

Happy birthday to The Chief and Glen.

All stay safe.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Da CHIEF.

Comfortable 70s this week
S.J.
Good Wednesday morning, or as some call it, "hump day". I've never really liked that term, "peak day" sounds a lot better. It's starting to warm up here, temps are pretty much into the 100's from here on, with close to a record, 109 here in Surprise (107 in Phoenix). How they know that it'll be two degrees lower in one place than the other just a few miles away, is beyond my comprehension; but then, that's why they get paid those big bucks.

Gunna take it easy today, maybe even have a chance to work on my layout. Still have a lot of trackwork to do, but what's left should go fairly fast. I bought a lot of Atlas Flextrack, (nice discount for 25 pieces), lots more than I need, but I was glad I found someone that had any. I remember a few months ago looking for some and just about everyone was out of stock with no dates that they'd have any. My only regret is that I forgot to ask if it was nickle-silver or brass. It turned out to be brass.
74 and cloudy.  Chance of showers [much needed].  Goofing off and errands.  Got CRV serviced, brakes all around and renewed license plate.  Ready to go for the year.

Have a good one.
70 here but headed to 100's . Don if higher quality brass(white not red) I use a lot of it in non viewing areas . in our dry climate its not the demon everybody says.
Greetings, gang.

It's a partly cloudy 69 outside my window this morning. High for today is supposed to be in the mid 80s.

Got the screens washed and put on the porch. Also got the bills paid so I can live in the house for another month. Last night's ball game was fun. Slightly older kids (8-9 year olds) so skill level was correspondingly higher. My great-grandson got a double. This morning is a swimming/workout day at the gym followed by a bike ride this afternoon. Tomorrow I need to buy a new toilet for the downstairs powder room. Water passages are getting clogged from all the lime in the water.

All stay safe.

Tom
D Day.  Remember those who gave it all to stop Nazi Germany.

82 and sunny.  Had a good rain late yesterday afternoon.

More rain tomorrow and through the weekend.

Have a good one.
Greetings, gang.

Another in a string of nice days is underway. Clear skies and 88 predicted for today. 72 right now.

Not much accomplished yesterday. This morning I need to make a run to a couple of grocery stores and mow the yard. Also need to get the new tags for my car. The plumbing project is on hold for the moment as I'm waiting for a rebate from Menards.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning, yes, it's the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Many many gave their all on foreign soil to give freedom to everyone in the world. I just hope that those that we not born then, understand and appreciate what those brave soldiers did, including the ones that did return. We will always be grateful for what they did.

We did get over the 100 mark yesterday, and more in store for us including flirting with 110 next week. This is only the third day this year that we hit 100 or more. The record is, I think, 143 days a few years ago.
68 here this morn heading to 100+ they say.
Jim
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 71 with a predicted high in the upper 80s. My favorite kind of weather.

Got the yard mowed, went for a bike ride, and got the new sticker for the car. Not much on the agenda for today. I may skip the gym today for an attitude adjustment day. I need to run the string trimmer and this evening is t-ball for one of the great-grandkids.

All stay safe.
