Greetings, gang.

Sunny, humid and 87. Copy and paste for tomorrow.

Just got back from the Diaper War. Late day today. Start of the first full week. Another full week next week then I'm done. He was a little clingy today but overall was just fine. We did come up with a new rule - do not shove a pacifier up the nose of the babysitter!

Only thing planned for the remainder of today is to figure out something for supper.

Jack - welcome back! No water or sewer lines in the area. My next step will be to wait for the boards to thoroughly dry and then prime them and paint them with a good deck paint. Although with the price of good paint it might almost be cheaper to just replace the boards.

Lutz - welcome back!

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning all.  Cooler but the fall like weather comes tomorrow.  Meeting this afternoon and Town board tonight.

Appointed to a new County Board.  Tax evaluation and hearing of folks wanting to dispute taxes.  Two days a week starting around April and goes through Nov.  $30 and hour, free parking and lunch. Icon_e_biggrin

Edgecombe tomorrow.

Have a good one.
Greetings, gang.

Another warm and muggy day underway. 71 right now with 96% humidity. High for today is supposed to in the upper 80s. Chances for rain start tonight and last through Sunday.

Another day of babysitting underway. Hunter is sleeping at the moment but will become active again very soon. Watched the second "50 Shades" movie last night. Really not a bad movie. I'll watch the third one tonight.

Frank - free lunch is always good.

All stay safe.

We are back from a two week vacation on the island of Madeira in the Atlantic ( https://goo.gl/maps/7L93kHDcJ42w46fW8 ). It is mazing how green Madeira is in contrast the canary islands in general.
Madeira has a very mild climate and is fully occupied by British senior citizens (it belongs to Portugal). A perfect place for older german couples like us :-)
We had a phantastic time and plan to return next year.
We were surprised to find the time sharing business in full swing. We experienced it 30-40 years ago on the Canary islands. But it is today very active on Madeira. Large 5 star hotels are built only to be sold via time sharing.

ps. Madeira has been discovered by Briten but they "forgot" to claim it. Portugal did that about 40 years later and it became part of Portugal. Funny story.
Morning.  Headed east.  Suppose to be cooler and less humid.  Tomorrow and Friday, fall like.

Far, enjoy the trip.  Be safe.

Have a good one.
Greetings, gang.

Another hazy humid day. 73 right now headed for 84. T-storms just to the northwest of me. Better chances for rain tonight.

Long day yesterday. Grandson didn't get home from work until after 3. Hunter is sleeping tight now but it could be a difficult day. He's either coming down with a cold or teething. My bet is on teething. Hardest part about babysitting is not being outside during the day.

Reinhard - welcome back.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all, finally cooling down for us too. Temp around 100 +/- , normal for this time of the year. Pictures on the news yesterday showing damage from the storm the night before. Lots of rain, lots of wind. Us here on the west side, a slight breeze and a few sprinkles. Next rain set for the beginning of next week.

Gave up on trying to network my computers with Win 10. The process is easy once you know how, but getting it to work is far from reality. I'll use a thumb drive to move my files, quicker and not as frustrating.
Greetings, gang.

71 with thunder and lightning in the area. Gonna be a soggy drive to "work" this morning.

I caused a bit of an uproar at my grandson's house on Tuesday. I let the house dog out for a potty break. He didn't come back. They live in a rural area and the dog frequently goes out to the yard. What I didn't know is that the house dog needs supervision. The dog didn't come home by Tuesday evening. Still not home when my grandson got home from work yesterday. He went out looking while I stayed with great-grandson. It started raining so I went to the back door to see how hard. The (very soggy) dog was on the porch. Called my grandson to let him know. He was hiking through a field and yes he was very wet also. Long story short both dogs have returned safely.

Yesterday I got home early enough that I was able to do some grocery shopping and go for a bike ride. Today is hump day for me. After today's turn at babysitting I'll be half done. No weekly group tonight. Everyone is busy with other stuff.

All stay safe.

Tom
Lazy morning.  Beautiful day.  Cool and very low humidity.  Fall like.

Now getting ready to "off to the races" until late.

Enjoy the day.
Good morning everyone, still a bit warm, yesterday it hit 102, today could be the same (depends on who's reporting), then maybe a cooling off like it was fall. There's a few storms in the Pacific that are suppose to cause rain next week and I even see temps in the 80's in the forecasts.

Been splitting my free time between loading up the new computer and repairing the damaged structures. A few have parts that warped, they did spend some time in an uninsulated storage locker, 110 outside, probably well over 150 inside the locker.
Greetings, gang.

69 and dark at the moment with a predicted high in the mid 80s.

Another long day yesterday. Grandson didn't get home from work until after 3. Great-grandson has a cold and I think I'm getting it. My nose is somewhat stuffed up this morning. My babysitting task is half over. It's been fun so far. One of the other great-grandsons has a football game tomorrow but with a 70% chance of rain and winds over 25 mph I may skip that.

All stay safe.

Tom
And a good Friday morning to ya all. Not much going on here that's any different than the past Fridays, just that today is suppose to end the triple-digit temps. By Monday they slip into the mid-80's. As usual, we go right from Summer to Winter without going through Fall.

Gas prices jumped 10¢ in the past few days, $2.95 is as low as I've seen, $2.99 and $3.05 are common. Prices in Tucson are still way lower, $2.45 is common there. They say that's because they're closer to the pipeline. We get gas from both Texas and California, yet California prices at the pump are way higher than ours.
Morning.  Beautiful day with blue sky, cool and low humidity.  Not much on agenda. [I hope].  Big bar-b-q cook off here tomorrow.  I am a judge.

Tom, kids are fun but have colds and etc. a lot.

Daz, gas went up here too.  Not that bad.

Have a good one.
Frank - they are more like crawling/walking germ factories.
Hello Blue
Some beautiful days in the 70s.
Grocery shopping this morning.
Gas on the Average is $2.69. at present.
