Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 21 this morning with partly cloudy and 28 on the way later today. Low 40s by the weekend.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.

Quiet day yesterday. didn't do much of anything. This morning I'll head to the gym. After that I 'll be starting house cleaning and starting Christmas decorations. Family will be here for Christmas Eve. Christmas Day will be at my son's mother-in-law about 20 miles east of me.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all, a very chilly one here, way down in the low 40's, forecast high somewhere around 60. Some say lows in the 30's, so we know it's well below freezing up in the high country. Got rain in the forecast all next week, especially on Christmas Day... Gunna ruin a lot of kids trying out their new bikes and skateboards.

That cold has been with me for over a week now, but it's winding down. Not the flu, just the common creeping crud.
Raining and 62.  Little Yankee groomer just left.  She is a hoot.  Dogs look great.  Not much happening.

Prayers for Tom's son.

Later.
Tomorrow is a day in the big city as SWMBO has lunch with a couple of old friends.
They've "improved" the train schedule since last year. It used to be the last train left before I got out of bed. Now it leaves 40 minutes later, which is about when I'm ready to leave the house -- and we have to pick up newspapers and coffee.
Good morning all, still a bit chilly out. Right now in the mid-40's heading into the 60's by this afternoon. Good chance of a wet Christmas Eve and Christmas, soothsayers have it anywhere from 30% to 90% for those days.

We had the Surprise Fire Department install a lockbox yesterday with a key to the house and a list of emergency contacts in it. Only the Fie Department can open it. The idea is that should we call for help and they can't get in the house, they would normally bust the door open. Now they have access to a key. I know other cities around here have the same thing, so if it's something that would be of interest, you might check with your fire department. Nearby Scottsdale does it for free, our town charged us $65, but it's the piece of mind that's worth the price.
Greetings, gang.

5 and clear this morning headed for sunny and 25. No precipitation is currently predicted between now and next Wed. Highs in the low 40s should reduce the small amount of snow currently on the ground. The short version - it doesn't look like I'll be having a white Christmas.

Speaking of which I did get the tree assembled yesterday. I was a little disappointed. The bottom section of the pre-lighted tree did not light up. I'll take a look at that later today. Also went to the gym, gassed up the car, and did a load of laundry. Today will be another trip to the gym and some house cleaning.

Thanks, Frank.

All stay safe.

Chilly morning after above normal temps for days.  41, sunny and breezy.  Temps cold for us for next seven days.  No rain so will dry out some.

Headed east to pay taxes for farms.  Show up at county office and give credit card, no additional fee.  Credit card equals a lot of points. Then hunt.  Probably not shoot anything but just look.  Gets me away and in the woods.  Back tonight as early out tomorrow to Human Services Board and then Regional Networks Committee.

All have a great one.
Good morning Blue
We have a cold day at 18 degrees. Sun but windy. Warming trend starting tomorrow
Home from the doctor, wife's one week post surgery checkup. All is well, final checkup in a month.
No other plans for today.
S.J.
We managed the trip to big city alright. Dayle went to the restaurant and sat for 20 minutes but her friends didn't show up. Since she didn't really like the menu and was occupying a table for 4, she left. While we were waiting for the train home she received eMails from the girls -- they think they may have just missed her.
Cold 25 degrees.  Out the door to Human Services Board meetings.  Then some last minute Christmas shopping.

Saw cow horn, spike and some does.  Enjoyed the getting away and the woods.

BR, women!!!!

Have a good one and all stay warm.
Good morning, no longer chilly, it's darn right cold out. The agree that it's 38 out right now (5:00AM), but headed into the 60's with, "an abundance of sunshine".... Not much else going on, it took us about 10 minutes to get out of our parking space at the Post Office yesterday. Foolish of us to even go there, but that's where we get our mail. The lines were well past the door, but I guess if you want something to get there before Christmas, you stand there and wait.

Speaking of packages, I ordered something that was suppose to show up yesterday. Tracking shows that it went from Phoenix to Chandler and that's where it is right now. We are NW of Phoenix, Chandler is SE Eek .... I just hope it gets here before Christmas....
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 18 headed for sunny and 38. Into the mid 40s over the weekend.

Yesterday was to be a swimming day at the gym but I wasn't in the mood so I just walked for three miles instead. Did some more house cleaning. Also got the tree lights working. The tree has three sections so I'm thinking three cords. Sounds reasonable, right? Wrong. There were 5. Plugged the other two in and all the lights are lit. Nothing major planned for today. Weekly group this afternoon. First time since before Thanksgiving. I've either been traveling or attending family events.

Best news of the day yesterday - The Far Side is back. www.thefarside.com The best comic strip ever!

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning everyone, can't believe it, but we're just five days away from Christmas. Hope you all have your shopping done. Our package finally made it here.  Went from Phoenix to Chandler, and I guess they didn't want to send a truck some 50 miles to deliver it, so back it went to Phoenix and got on the right truck yesterday. I'm sure it's not the only misdirected package in the system, I was just hoping I didn't have to drive to Chandler to pick it up, or worse yet, bouncing back and forth between FeEx offices right though Christmas...

Suppose to have a warming trend for the next few days before the holiday storm hits. Some have us into the 70's for the weekend, can't say for sure anymore. Whatever the weather is, enjoy what you have, you can't do anything about it. Also, have a great weekend.
Warmed up here.  was 26 and now 46.  Sun is beaming down.  Got some errands to run and then Wifey duty.  Go with her to Gail's Mom's at assisted living.  Gail doesn't come from Athens GA to here for Christmas.  Icon_rolleyes

Have a good one.
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 34 at the moment with a predicted sunny high in the low 40s. Near 50 by Monday.

Routine day yesterday. Gym, house cleaning, and decorating the tree. This morning I've been out and about to three different stores and I've already started my second load of laundry Oldest daughter may stop by later to pick up her Christmas cookies. I need the room in the freezer.

While I was shopping I had a guy stop and tell me that he and his wife were having a disagreement. She said freezing was 31 and he said no, it's 32. I told him that it was 32 but surprised they could have any disagreement. My wife and I NEVER had any disagreements while we were married. But of course I could be a liar. She immediately jumped on that and said. "See, he's lying! It's really 31."

All stay safe.
