Happy Christmas Eve, gang.

Another pleasant day under way in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. 34 now headed for the mid 40s by this afternoon.

Had a day off yesterday. Thought my son from Houston would be here yesterday. Not arriving until today. On the agenda for today is final preparations for this evening. Get the table set, make cheese balls, etc.

Got a call from my other son yesterday. His cancer is back, this time a saliva gland in his mouth. Surgery scheduled for Jan. 7th. I'll be driving down on the 6th and stay with him for about a week.

All stay safe.

Tom
Happy Christmas Eve.  Beautiful day out.  Sunny and 57.  Dogs and I have been walking out back.  Chasing squirrels out of feeder and etc.

Dave, Sam's here $2.21.9 for 87.  $2.64.9 for 93 [Caddy].

Heard Tom went duck hunting.

Lots of food later today.  [plop plop fizz fizz]

Enjoy.
Good morning, and a very Merry Christmas to you all. Santa skipped our house as he has for a good many years now. We told him that we don't need anything and to concentrate on the kids for someday, they'll be in our shoes and do as we do when they are.

Those that forecasted 100% chance of rain for yesterday are off the hook. It rained for a good part of the day. We got nearly a half-inch here and well over one inch at the White Tank Mountains, about five miles west of us. Still looking at a good chance of rain for today and through into next week. Can't believe that we're just a week away from 2020. I still remember the Y2K bug from 20 years ago, it doesn't seem that long ago.

Have a great day, and I hope Santa treated you well.... 2285_ 2285_
Merry Christmas, gang.

34 and partly cloudy. The high for today is predicted to be an unusually warm 50. Downhill for the remainder of the week with Don's rain arriving by the weekend and turning to snow.

Christmas Eve celebration went off very well last night with only one minor hitch. My daughter was supposed to bring a crock pot but couldn't find it. She's isn't fully unpacked from her recent move. I was able to borrow one from a neighbor. My daughter-in-law told me a couple of times that she was impressed with what I had done. People stayed much later than I had expected, not leaving until after 10. Late this morning I'll be headed about 20 miles east to her mom's place for Christmas dinner. More of Frank's plop, plop, fizz, fizz will be needed.

Frank - great decoy. It would certainly get my attention.

All stay safe.

Merry Christmas Blue.
High of 50 today, here? for Christmas????

Good morning everyone, hope Santa helped you with what you wanted, but most important, were the kids happy? I do remember as a kid, getting socks and underwear along with a few toys. I guess when your family doesn't have that much, you're expected to be happy with some new clothes.

We did get rain yesterday morning, a bit chilly as well. Rain on the schedule for today, 40%, 63%, 100%, those are three forecasts that I found. Regardless, I hope Walmart has their return line forming inside rather than outside as they were doing a few years ago, it will be chilly and maybe wet again today.  For us, we've got enough leftovers that we don't need to go near a store for a few days. Already, the papers are full of, "after Christmas sales", and that was yesterday's paper. How much do you want to bet that Walmart will have their Valentine displays out by this weekend? Gone will be the 50% off Christmas trees, decorations, candy and trinkets. Boy, that was the fastest holiday ever, seems like just a few days, even though stores had their Christmas stuff out around September.
Greetings, gang.

It's a partly cloudy 34 outside my window this morning with a guesstimated high near 40. Got to 56 yesterday. Could get an inch of rain over the weekend.

Fun day yesterday. Went to son's mother-in-law's place for dinner. Grossly over-ate. Nothing on the agenda for today other than extra time at the gym this morning. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. Now begins the tear down and countdown to the new year.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning everyone, Yeah, it did rain last night, and it looks wet out right now, so those guessers can brag about being right for a change. Some nice snow up in the high country too, if you're into that sort of stuff. That makes skiers happy, and those running the ski slopes and those selling skiing stuff, even happier.

It's getting closer to the new year. Anyone here made plans for New Years Eve? Us, we used to go to dinner and a movie, never made to bar or party scene, just not sure what we'll do this year. I know this, we'll be sound asleep well before midnight, I just hope some crazy neighbor doesn't wake us up with fireworks. They're legal here right around the Fourth of July and New Years. Rain in the forecast for New Years Eve and New Years Day, so that might temper those setting off fireworks at home.
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 23 headed for more sun and 39. Nastiness starts early tomorrow morning with sleet and freezing rain. Switches over to all rain by daybreak. Then maybe turning back to snow tomorrow night. Could get over an inch of rain. The NWS is saying little to no ice accumulation but with the ground frozen I have my doubts about that.

Productive day yesterday. Went to the gym but my stomach was a little upset so all I did was walk for three miles. After lunch I got the dining room put back together. Leaves taken out of the table, decorations put away, all the good dishes cleaned and returned to storage, etc., etc.

This morning I'll be headed to the gym soon. After lunch I'll start taking down the tree and other Christmas related items in the living room.

All stay safe.

Tom
Another warm beautiful day.  Got to go let grand dogs and cat out and in several times.  Daughter having surgery.  Nothing else much on agenda.  Pressure washed the back of house, garage front and big shelter [all that is vinyl].
Was a drown rat when finished.  Will do the side [addition] later.  Brick was painted with algicide mixed with paint.  That works.

Have a good one.
Hello Blue
Just checking in.
It was 56 this morning in lower Mi. Wow nice while it last.

Good Saturday morning to ya all. A bit rainy yesterday, the forecast for today and through next week is as scattered as the winds. Some say 20% chance, others say 0%. One thing they all agree on is that it won't rain tomorrow and that there's another storm on its way. It should  be pretty chilly out right now, I'm not going out to confirm that until I have to. Freezing temps are not uncommon here, they don't last but a few days and only early in the morning. Unfortunately, we're early morning people. If you like snow, they got around a foot of new stuff up in the high country, even some down as low as 4000 feet.

Had the "Cheez-it bowl" here last night and the Fiesta Bowl coming up on Tuesday. Don't know who's sponsoring that one, it used to be called the "Tostito Fiesta Bowl". They could combine them and call them the "Snack Bowls".... Icon_lol Icon_lol

Enough said.... Waiting
Greetings, gang.

Rain and 33 headed for rain and 47. I'm quite happy that it's raining. A few degrees colder and I could be shoveling up to a foot a snow. We could even have a rumble of thunder or two this afternoon. The NWS is predicting as much as 2" of rain by the time it's all over.

Productive day yesterday. All the Christmas decorations are down and and boxed (toted) up. Today I'll be hauling them to the attic. Rest of the day will be spent watching it rain. If I get energetic I may take an umbrella and go for a walk this afternoon.

All stay safe.
