FYI, our snowbirds need to flock to where you are. We're not suppose to get into the 60's for another week.  We can thank the California folks for sending us their storms. Don't mind, we need the rain and can put up with a little cold weather if need be.

Oh, and I find that the TV reporter that said the Fiesta Bowl (now called the "Playstation Fiesta Bowl), was wrong. The parade is going on as we speak, the game is played later today. They announced to get to the stadium by 3:00, even though the kickoff is at 6:00. Yet another reason why I don't go to sports games.
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 44 at the moment, having gone up 2 degrees in the last hour. High is supposed to be 47 before dropping like a rock later today, hovering near the freezing mark by late afternoon. Got over a half inch of rain yesterday.

Got the laundry caught up and all the Christmas decorations put away. Just getting my coat out to go for a walk when the phone rang. It was my son-in-law. Daughter had been in the emergency room since early morning. Kept passing out. I get to the er just in time to see her pass out again. They called in a specialist. He saw it happen also. No one knows what's causing it. Kept her overnight for observation. All vitals and blood tests come back normal. May do an eeg today.

All stay safe.

Tom
Don, high today guessed at 74!!!!  Eek   Saw a mosquito in the deer stand yesterday.  Rain suppose to come with a front.  [that accumulation gets less and less]  Still stay above normal all week.

Being lazy today.  Wifey took down Christmas.  Now to store.  Icon_rolleyes

Have a great week ahead.
Hello Blue
Rain and 40 degrees. We don't have to shovel rain.

Good morning all.

Frank, our guessers say sunny and clear with 52 for a high. Lots of snow up north, it always gets cold down here when that happens up there. Had our heaviest jackets on this morning, temps close to freezing.
Greetings, gang.

27 and cloudy with about an inch of snow on the ground this morning. High for today is supposed to be 27 so not much change. Possibly another inch of snow this evening.

Went to visit my daughter yesterday. As soon as a room opens up in Des Moines she will be shipped down they so they can run a 24 hour EEG to rule out seizures. Doctor thinking some form of apnea. I thought that only happened while sleeping. Also watch a movie yesterday entitled Morons From Outer Space. No further explanation needed.

Snow shoveling is on the agenda this morning and maybe a trip to the gym.

All stay safe.

National Bacon Day.  Bacon Bacon Bacon!!!! Some in fridge. Didn't cook. Did cook 3 egg cheese omelet with bacon grease in the pan.

Being lazy and that irritates Wifey. She is rushing around getting more Christmas out of the yard. I'm not rushing. Rushed most of my life.

Mostly cloudy to sunny [breaks in the clouds]. 73 degrees [just for Tom] and real windy.
Good morning all, don't know about this  crazy weather. Blizzards, snow and ice in the mid-west and northeast, higher than normal temps in the southeast and lower than normal here in the southwest. Gunna strap on my jet pack and fly to where it's looking good. Normally, that would be right where I am.

I didn't know about Bacon Day, I'm waiting for Ham Day, but I'll settle for bacon if need be.

Taking down Christmas decoration are usually done the day or weekend after New Years Day. Call it lazy, call it tradition, either way, that's what we do. I'm still tired from putting them up....
Wife's nephew is somewhere in North Dakota or beyond. Delayed by a bit of snow, but he has a snowmobile with him. If there's a problem, he can hitch it up and pull his car.
Good morning all. Last week the forecast for this week was rain every day. This week's forecast says "maybe, but not sure". Still chilly though, we're looking at the high-50's until this weekend. Flagstaff was -7 a few days ago, the Grand Canyon was about the same. Not a good time to go sightseeing.

Tonight is New Years Eve. Stay safe everyone, lots of crazies out there. Our local news is full of bad driving accidents on a normal day, tonight is not a normal night, so be careful if you do go out. For us, I'm not sure yet, if we do go somewhere, it'll be early and close.

As usual, there's lots of controversy about tomorrow starting a new decade. One article I read made a good case for it starting next year saying that we went from 1BC to 1AD since the Romans didn't have a number for "0", therefore, the decade starts in 2021. I'm not sure they even knew back then that they were changing from BC to AD nevermind even counting the years. We had the same argument when we rolled over to 2000, but it didn't change our lives any then (except for the Y2K scare), nor will it now. When I hear about something happening in the year 20,000BC, I wonder, "how do they know that was the year that happened?" I'm sure that no one was keeping track back then.... Nope
HAPPY NEW YEAR BLUE.
I'm still with ya.

Sunny and cooler [already 55 out].  Clean addition side of the house and rails on deck.

Enjoy the day and the last day of 2019.
Good morning all, and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR. It's 2020, that means we'll all have perfect eyesight, at least through this year. Icon_e_surprised Time to weed through the stacks of paid bills an bank statements. I really enjoy that, some statements I get are 12 and 14 pages long with details that I really don't care about. Some pages are even blank and marked, "this page is intentionally left blank". Why bother, just give me the monthly balances...

Enough grumbling, my resolution this year is to be more positive. No more making fun of those weather guessers or the snowbirds that help boost our local economy. Well, I'll give it my best, but it is one of the little fun pleasures I take. Beyond that, I hope to see more Big Blue members return, and many new ones join us in this new year.

Stay safe, stay healthy and prosper through 2020 and beyond. Worship
How's your hangover, gang.

Clear and 27 headed for cloudy and 40 later in the day.

Went to Des Moines yesterday to visit my daughter. She has had some episodes while attached to the EEG and as a consequence seizures have been ruled out. Current thinking is some form of apnea or possibly panic attacks without the anxiety. She was given some new medication while I was there and did not have any episodes for three hours. Haven't talked to her yet this morning.

All stay safe.

Tom
