Seems I have Type A Flu per Dr.  Just dry cough.  No temp, normal low BP and no congestion.  Gave me Tamiflu and codeine cough syrup.  Stay in a few days.

Now about FedEx.  Got 6 N&W passenger cars shipped from NY.  FedEx told guy I lived at North Main and there was no South.  FedEx delivered to North Main.  When I filed complaint to FedEx, lady was rude and ugly to me.  Told her that it was mixed by FedEx all the time.  She would not tell me the address where it was shipped.  After she rudely said good by, I hope she heard the "F"y word I told her before disconnecting.  No need to be rude and ugly.

They are at Donnie's house.  I called and told him they were mine.  They leave his packages here all the time.  We just take them to the one that ordered them.

Later.
Hello Blue
It was cloudy and 34 today. Some sun would be nice but there's no snow so I am happy. Gas today was $2.29.

Quick look at Google Maps finds S Main St. It also seems to become Louisburg Rd which runs down to Louisburg Rd.

This was meds day for us. Dayle had Dental cleaning, then we to Dracula's lab and I went next door for an X-Ray. Well. The Dr had ticked the box for an ultrasound which was not a walk-in. The receptionist called the Dr to check; we had lunch then went home. Finally called about 3:30 that it really was an X-ray so I went back and had it. This is the other knee to the one that was looked at last year for which I am on Tylenol by the gram.
Good morning all, yet another weekend is upon us. They kind of whip by anymore, we just got into January and here we are into February tomorrow. Been a busy month, time to take a break.

Speaking of breaks, Jim, you need to go out and shoot those guns. They tend to not shoot as accurate when they've been laying around doing nothing for a long time. I know this first hand but it's always the gun's fault.... Icon_e_biggrin

Temps decent through the weekend, just right for the big game. That could either be the one on Florida or the one here in Scottsdale. I still don't know how they calculate when to play the Super Bowl, but the final round of the Phoenix Open is always played on the same day. I guess now days, one can always go to one game and watch the other on their smart phones... if you're that into sports. I may watch a little of the Super Bowl, maybe even switch over to the golf game for a few  minutes, but I don't expect to watch either one all the way through. And no, I'm not one of those that watch the game just to see the commercials. As for the Phoenix Open, I was saw on the news at 7:00 AM yesterday when the gates opened and people were lined up to get in. Apparently, they're there to get a good seat at the 16th hole. First come, first served they said, so it must be special since it's still dark out then and it's hours before they actually play golf.

Frank, hope you recover quickly, it's nasty stuff for a while, wish you the best....
Greetings, gang.

One more cloudy day before the National Weather Service has promised some sunshine. 28 now headed for 33-ish later.

Went to Walmart yesteday and stocked up on basics. In the afternoon I got the laundry caught up. Nothing planned for today other than a trip to the sweat store.

Frank - hope you're getting better.

All stay safe.

Morning.  41 and partly cloudy.  Rain moving in.  Gone by tomorrow AM.  Actually need it down east.  When there is no water in the woods in Edgecombe Co. [flat land], it dry.  Trees start sucking up water and we have fire season.  Usually by now, big areas of water standing and all big mud holes [from old lumbering] are full.  Not the case.

Passenger cars look good.  Buddy Donnie had to go to a meeting so he dropped them off.  Also, USPS had left Wifey's box of shoes she ordered at his house.  Addressed SOUTH Main.  Sloppy services now days.  Here FedEx is the worse.  I must say, Prime delivery is the best [knock on wood].

Sad news.  Buddy Larry called this AM.  Seems His GF, Jeanie, and him have decided to close the Bar-B-Q House.  Last day is Sunday.  Probably go that way.  50+ years she has been in operation.  Told him it was about time.  Food prices and staff problems all the time.

Taking meds and resting.

Enjoy your day.
Good morning everyone, and welcome to February. And yes, this is a leap year, so those folks born on Feb 29, can celebrate on the right day.

Big day tomorrow for sports fans and commercial fans alike. They say that some watch the game just for the commercials. I guess it must be worth spending millions on a thirty-second ad. Speaking of money, the head of the NFL said they would easily make a billion dollars from the Super Bowl. I can see how when I heard that tickets to the game are pushing $7,000 each. Let's see, I can watch it at home on a TV that costs less than $500 and will last a few years compared to a few hours going to the game. I can put it on hold when I want to take a break, I'm sure going to the bathroom or snack bar at the game will make you miss a good portion of what you came there for. And best of all, I don't have to fight the crowds after the game is over. As an added bonus, I didn't have to fly my jet to Florida and find a place to park it. Icon_rolleyes But then again, I'm not a corporate CEO where all this is a pittance and chargeable as a business expense. Well, I thought about writing off my TV set on my tax return one year... Icon_lol

Hang in there Frank...
Greetings, gang.

Skies are clear this morning and the temperature is 31 headed for an afternoon high of 38. It'll be nice to see the sun later when it arise from the horizon.

Routine day yesterday. Got sweaty at the gym. Then dropped off some clothes at the local men's shelter and picked up a few groceries. Got home and realized I forgot the bread. I'll pick that up today after my great-grandson's basketball game. The store is only a block away from where the game is. May start cleaning my shop today also.

All stay safe.

43 and cloudy.  Staying in and hope to get well.  Dr. says I will be OK tomorrow.  ????  Guess he has crystal ball.

Wifey gone with sister to niece's in Wilmington.  Wedding planning.

Batching it with the animals.

We are not Super Bowl watchers.

Have a good one.

Can't believe that gas is cheaper where you live Jim than it is in the Phoenix area. Sam's Club and Costco are the cheapest. I filled up at Sam's Club a few days ago for $2.87. They're building a Costco about a mile or so from our house otherwise I'd have to drive about ten miles away for the nearest one just to save a few more cents. Non-brand is still at $3.00, brand around $3.06 and up.

I shoot mostly .22 and 9MM. I used to reload my shotshells until the components became more expensive than buying them by the case.
Greetings, gang.

One more nice day before winter returns. clear and 38 headed for sunny and 43 outside my window this morning. Turning colder tomorrow. Down to 7 by Tuesday morning.

I screwed up yesterday. I thought great-grandson's game was at 1. Turns out it was at 8:30. Oops. I did spend some time cleaning my shop. Only thing left to clean are the workbench itself and some storage shelves. May get rid of some more junk also.

All stay safe.

Good morning all, just like Tom, we're seeing the last nice day before Winter hits again. Yesterday could have gotten to 80, close to that today, then down to the 60's and even the 50's for a few days. A pity they're not playing the Super Bowl here, they would probably have kept the roof open today. Then again, we have enough visitors with the Phoenix Open. Some 180,000 people there yesterday.

And yeah, I'm with Frank and the rest. it's no secret that I'm not into sports either. If I watch any of the game today, it's because there's nothing good on the other 250 channels that we get. We'll probably watch reruns of "American Pickers", tops on my list.
