Morning.  66 and sunny.  Outside chores I guess.  Rain Thursday.

Gas has gone up a few cents.  Don't understand.

Hope all OK.
Hello Blue
Sun and 40's today.
Gas this morning was $1.29.
Being locked in nothing exciting to report except thankfully we are still well.

Good afternoon folks

It is 53 and raining lightly. We are supposed to get some rough weather later with some thunderboomers.

Feed the front lawn yesterday. Also worked a little cleaning the attic.

I continued my PS-2 covered hopper marathon.

I hope everybody has a good day.
hi all . finished the paint shaking today . weather isn't bad except for the wind .  tom what degree of weathering are you doing ?  if its light I have 132 pk2 ps2 hoppers that need a light coat of road grime Smile
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 56 outside my window this morning. High for today is supposed to be in the upper 70s with clearing skies. Just had a brief light shower move through. Just enough to get the pavement damp.

Got all the boards sanded on the park bench yesterday. Also went for a walk which included a surprisingly steep hill. By the time I got home I was out of energy to ride the bike. A couple of ibuprofen, a hot shower, and a Corona (not the virus) had me right again.

Today I need to make a run to Menards and start making the hangers for the wood so I can stain it. My walk today may include a stroll past the ice cream store.

All stay safe.

Good morning Big Blue folks, yet another day in isolation. Seems like stores are getting more and more on their shelves, no panic buying, just normal stuff. Walmart is still out of a few items that we use, but we found a few in another store.

Today is Earth Day, at least I think it is. I usually don't follow these things, but from what I'm hearing, lots of things on this earth are settling down since about half the population is in some sort of lockdown. Pollution is down, the planet is not shaking, (never knew it was), and noise pollution is way down. A few wild animals are starting to come into the cities as well. There was this TV series a few years ago that showed what would happen to the world if people were gone. Really interesting, they'd show 10, 100, 1,000-year and longer progressions. It was fascinating to see how quickly this would change. We can see the effect, even by people just staying at home for a few weeks.

Today we should be in the 90's, like 10 degrees higher than yesterday, and into the 100's by this weekend. We're a bit late with these temps, but almost a record with just three days going from the first 90 to 100. The furnace just came on, but I guess we're going to need the A/C later today.

Take care and stay safe... Icon_e_biggrin
Good morning.  59 and sunny.  Earth Day will be turning earth with tractor.  Got to get garden spot dried out to plant tomato plants.  Getting too tall in pots.  Rain again tomorrow and then Saturday.

Feed Charter School kids at 5.  Worked out great.  Kids who can't afford Chrome Book will get a school purchased one today at 5.  So we feed the lower income kids at the same time.  They will get bags of 4 frozen cooked meals ready to microwave.

Do the usual big feeding Friday.  Special "designed" contents for Hispanic folks will be in bags for weekend cooking.  Friday will be trailer park day.

Enjoy the day.
Good afternoon folks

It is 43 and very blustery. Lately everyday has been windy.

Did a few little things around the house yesterday. Finished four more covered hoppers. Have six more to go.

Today we are going to head out to pick up some supplies.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Greetings, gang.

43 and clear in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning. Won't be as warm today (got to 81 yesterday) but not nearly as windy either (winds of 40 mph yesterday). High for today is supposed to be 72 with light breezes.

With the high winds I didn't ride the bike yesterday but did go for a three mile walk. My feet carried me past the ice cream store for a strawberry cone. Also went to Menards for the stainless steel hardware for the park bench. All the boards are stained and will see the first coats of spar varnish later today after it warms up. Also need to make a grocery run and gas up the car (for the first time since Feb. 29th).

All stay safe.

Good morning everyone, yet another day in isolation. Our current, "stay at home" order expires in a week. Our governor isn't sure if he'll extend, modify or just let it expire. My money is on "modify". He'll let some businesses open a little at a time.

Went to the big Walmart yesterday, a small line to get in only because they've got things fenced off and funnel you through one door in and one door out. Better stock on a lot of things, but still skinny or out of others. Drove by Home Depot on the way out and could not believe the line there waiting to get in, it ran almost the length of the store. My first though was that they're giving something away, but I think it's just people wanting to do something while they have to stay at home. I could use some wall paint, but not bad enough to get into that line. Nope

Temps were in the mid-90's yesterday, suppose to hit 100+ by Saturday, and break at least one record before going back into the 90's. Still, the average first 100° day is May 2, the earliest is March 26 the latest is June 18. Almost had the A/C on yesterday, but surely, by Saturday. Icon_rolleyes
Hello Blue
Gloomy and 40's for the day.
In Michigan you can't buy a can of paint, in fact NO home improvement supplies at all. You Can buy what you need for a home repair, like a broken faucet, ect.
No boating if it has a motor. Mich. is surrounded  by water, has thousand of inland lakes and you can't go boating or fishing.
Enough soapbox.

Morning.  Cloudy and chance of rain.  61 degrees.  Storm forecast downgraded.  Nothing on agenda.

Feed trailer parks tomorrow.  Feeding Charter School yesterday afternoon was a big success.

All stay well.
Good afternoon folks

It is a chilly 51. We were told we were supposed to get rain. Nothing here now.

Enjoying a good breakfast. Our favorite mom & pop breakfast lunch place is now open for takeout.

Plan on taking down the Easter decorations today. Later I will continue with my weathering marathon.

I hope everybody has a good good day.
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 51 with a predicted high of 58 with clouds remaiing throughout the day.

Yesterday was really nice weather-wise so I took a day off from working on the park bench. It's all ready for varnish but I'm going to hold off for another day. The label says not to apply below 55 degrees. I'll work on it again tomorrow. Today I'll stick to walking, riding, and maybe some house cleaning.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all, another 90 degree day in store, then it heats up starting tomorrow.

Got a break yesterday and was able to drive up to Prescott. There's a gun store there that I've bought and traded many a gun. They had a Ruger revolver there at a good price, and to be honest, I just wanted to put a few miles on our new truck. Just for kicks, when we hit the freeway, I turned on the adaptive cruise control, lane minder and blind spot detection. The thing just about drives itself, it slows down when it gets too close to a vehicle in front, keeps itself between lane lines and lets me know if I override and stray, warns me if there's oncoming traffic from behind and as a bonus, it has a huge trunk under the truck bed that can be used as a beer cooler. Unfortunately, it's not accessible from the cab. Icon_rolleyes  Oh yeah, I did buy the gun plus they had lots of ammo there.

We are still in a "stay at home" order, but traffic was kind of heavy, especially coming into Prescott with a good number of folks hauling 4-wheelers on the way there and back. I figure that if we're allowed to go play golf, hike the trails, ride our bikes and that a lot of people are out riding their 4-wheelers, that target shooting is also a recreational event and so I'm definitely going to go target shooting next week, gotta make sure my new gun works properly. Icon_e_smile You know how that is don't you Frank?
