Good morning everyone, today starts the ramp-up to higher temps. Didn't pay attention to the TV weather report so I don't know what it got up to yesterday, but we are in an "excessive heat warning" from today through Sunday.

Got my HOA bill for the month. They gave me credit for the weeds fine that they issued during the "stay at home order". Just wondering, did they do that for just me because I complained, or for everyone else as well because they now realize their stupidity for doing that? I wish I could find a house around here that wasn't in an HOA, they have far too much power over the residents, even though they are ones. I doubt that they've ever issued themselves a fine for weeds or parking on the street....
Hello Blue
Sun and 80's today.
We took a road trip yesterday. With a nursery right down the street we drove 50 miles round trip to buy plants. It didn't hurt the local as their parking lot has been full ever since they were allowed to open. My wife is already outside planting the things we bought.

Greetings, gang.

63 and cloudy with yet another chance for rain. The high is supposed to be in the mid 70s. According to our good friends at the National Weather Service the weather should be dry for the next several days.

Yesterday was a calorie burning day. Walked for 3 miles. Then rode my bike to the gym and had resistance training along with walking for a mile and doing yet another mile and a half on the elliptical machine. After lunch I rode the bike for 13 miles. The grass never dried out enough to mow. Hopefully I can get that done today.

Along with the aforementioned mowing I plan to go to Walmart and Menards. I want to get a small chain saw and a cordless string trimmer. The chain saw will be used to trim some bushes around the back yard that are getting too thick for the hedge clippers. The string trimmer will be used to clean up the edges of my wife's tombstone. She always like to have the sidewalks edge to the point where she took a kitchen knife out to clean them up. We finally bought an electric edger.

All stay safe.

Good morning good folks, going to be a bit warm today, 108 seems to be what the guessers are saying. They don't agree on tomorrow, some have it as high as 112, we'll see when we get there. The same with rain, a slight chance around the first of next week, don't think we're ready for our monsoon season yet. That's a period in the summer when it rains when they don't forecast any, and doesn't rain when they do. Icon_e_surprised

Going to try to get to Harbor Freight today, also need to stop by Home Depot and pick up the glue that I ordered. Five hours to go from California to Goodyear, Arizona (400 miles). Six days to go from Goodyear to Surprise, (about 10 miles) and another full day to let me know it got there. At least I will be able to fix some of my broken structures now. Still have a few that didn't fair too well during our many moves the past few years.

Everyone have a great day and stay safe.... Icon_e_biggrin
Afternoon.  Rainy but no rain for a while.  Been to morning meeting at Court House.  Felt strange.  No crowds at security and sat in big conference room social distancing.

Chores this afternoon.

Later.
1.13" of rain in 15 minutes while I was on a Human Services phone meeting.  Eek Gardens and etc. flooded.  Wifey's fish pond [250 gal stock tank] ran over.  Had to syphon down.
Good morning all, wow Frank, that's a lot of rain to deal with that quickly. People around here go crazy when we get 1/4" in a short time.

Got to Home Depot, used their "curbside pickup" to get our orders, including my glue. Really easy to do if you don't want to go in and shop. The guy next to me ordered a toilet and then tried to jam it into a mini-SUV.

Hot today, the TV folks are still holding fast on 112, others around 108 or 9. The lower number guessers won the battle yesterday, regardless, it's hot. Got to get use to how we get into the car without touching any metal. I have an article that I wrote about that a few years ago, I'll post it on my "Out Arizona Way", blog here as a reminder for me and how to handle the heat.
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 55 headed for sunny and 70 with much lower humidity. Looks to be a pretty nice day.

I had a mellow day yesterday.. Walmart and Menards in the morning. Got a small chain saw at Menards for trimming some bushes around the Backyard & Southern. Then got a cordless string trimmer at Walmart. Got the yard mowed and the sidewalks cleaned up. After that I went to my wife's grave site and cleaned up around the edges of the tombstone. She always like to have nice straight edges on the sidewalks and grass was starting to creep over the edges of her marker. Looks much nicer now.

Another quiet day today. Gym, bike ride and maybe a walk. I think the pool opens today so I will be swimming if it is.

Frank - that's a pretty heavy dew.

All stay safe.

Hello Blue
After a week of 80's we will now have a few 70's. Some rain expected today but looks ok right now.
I have been goofing off, no real progress on anything. My wife has the garden planted. She likes doing it so I stay out of the way ready to assist.

Good morning folks

It is 76. Feels like a heavy wet blanket when you go outside. They say we might get some big thunder boomers later today.

I guess the weather was getting to the dog yesterday with the humidity. He won't eat his morning meal which meant we could give him his insulin. He finally ate in the early afternoon. In the evening he again ate late. This morning he was ready to eat when I offered him food. Hopefully what ever bothered him yesterday is gone.

I worked on assembling a MDC/Roundhouse 36 foot wood boxcar. I forgot how frustrating and patient testing the old MDC/Roundhouse kits can be. I thought I had scraped off all the flash from the metal base and opened all the holes. Took me about half hour to get the base to fit in the boxcar shell. I have two 36' wood reefers and a northeast caboose to do. Not sure if I am looking forward to them.

I have to go out later to pick up pet supplies and groceries. I hate shopping on Fridays.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Fed trailer parks.  Flooded down this AM before.  Flooded down again after I got home.  Held off during feeding.  Weather station indicates 1.55"  Think I am getting more and more help on feeding trailer parks.  May be down to 5 instead of 7.

Resting up now.
Greetings, gang.

Clear and cool this morning at 48. High supposed to be around 70.

My day certainly didn't turn out the way I expected yesterday. I was getting ready to go to the gym when the phone rang. It was my granddaughter in Omaha. 45 minutes later it was too late for the gym. Watched the guv's news conference. Went shopping. Got a new pillow. Stopped at Office Max looking for a new keyboard. Their website said they had one in stock. Nope! Stopped at Walmart for some things and checked on the keyboard. They had it. Their website said they didn't carry it in Fort Dodge. Got home and there was a missed call from my grandson. Called him back and chatted with him and his wife while they ate lunch. He dropped her off at work and come over to visit. Wound up helping me trim the bushes in the back. Then hauled them away for me. Also invited me for supper. Got home about 8:30.

Quiet day planned for today. Walk, ride the bike and put fertilizer on the lawn. The new pillow has some problems. Too big for the pillow cases I have. Scrunches the pillow up and makes it very hard. Kind of like sleeping on a soft rock. I'll see if I have any larger pillow cases today. Otherwise I may have to make some.

Frank - glad to hear you're getting some help.

All stay safe.

80 and humid.  More rain this afternoon.  Being lazy.  Actually back is giving me a fit.  Relief this coming Wednesday afternoon.  Suddenly Dr. backed up on injections.  2 1/2 months ago, hurry and come in.

Hope all are OK.  Stay away from big cities.  Protests, OK.  Riots are not.  Ft. Bragg and Airborne on ready.  One hour deployment.
Good morning, we did tie a record yesterday with 112, this time the TV folks won out with their guesses. Still going to be well over 100 as far as the forecasters can see.

Frank, riots are a good way to steal and get away with it, plus getting back at those folks that have worked hard and have done better than they did. It has little to do with the issues at hand, just a good excuse to do bad things.

Gas is now averaging around $2.25 here, still see where Tucson is around $1.67, always lower than us. Most Costco stations are under $2.00, worth the drive to save around $5.00 a tank full.

Churches here are now open, just at 25% capacity, ours requires that you wear a mask. Families can sit together, others have to remain with social distancing rules....
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and somewhat cool today with a predicted high of 71 with 20 mph winds.

Yesterday didn't go quite as expected. My motivation got a lot done but all I did was watch it work. I did manage to get the laundry caught up. Went shopping for some oversized pillow cases but nobody in town carries them. Found some on - where else - Amazon. Should be here by the end of the week. Also got the weed and feed on the lawn.

Today is anticipated to be very quiet - movies and reading interrupted by assorted rounds of feeding. Probably go for a walk this afternoon. Gas here is holding at $1.94 for a couple weeks now.

All stay safe.
