Hello Blue
Sun and Hi 80's today. No rain in the 5 day forecast.
I too am tired of the TV news, they are solely responsible for a lot of what's happening in our precious country these days. I can't believe how leadership is bowing down to these idiot demands. Got some laundry drying and the dishwasher running, that's my excitement for today.

Morning.  94 and sunny.  40% chance of a scattered shower [mainly south of us].  Will start to water again.

Have a good week ahead.
Good morning folks

Temperature is 84 heading up to 87. The humidity is up there too. Thunderboomers later?

Have to go to Home Depot or Ace to get a new hose. My wife purchased one of those self expanding hoses. We have had it for several years and I always drain it after each use. Last night while I was rolling it up it sprang a leak. I like the flexible hoses that flatten when there is no water in them. We have one of them also soI want to try to match it.

Finished weathering the pickle tank cars. Today I hope to run some trains.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Good morning everyone. Not much going on here, typical Monday morning stuff. The entire state has been under a "red flag warning" for the past few days. High winds + dry conditions = fire danger. Still fighting some wildfires, a few homes are gone and some out-buildings, but nothing like what happened in other states a few years ago. Also, no vast amounts of tall pines hit like what happened before here in Arizona. Seems like all evacuation orders have been lifted, which is a good thing.

Got plans to head up to Prescott later this week. I-17 has had several fires close the freeway in the past few weeks, I think we'll take the back route. No freeways, but a nicer drive, little traffic and so far, no wildfires along the way.

Have a great week, stay safe and stay away from crowds.
Greetings, gang,

Hazy and 76 already with 90% humidity. Supposed to hit close to 90 with high humidity all week. Outdoor activities will be restricted to mornings.

All the family activities of the weekend are behind me and it looks like I'll be settling in for a very quiet week ahead. The only excitement will be if the bike shop has an inner tube for my bike. I need to ride my bike early this morning.

All stay safe.

Tom
96 and super sticky.  We had rain last night.  Just enough to wet concrete but not under trees.  Maybe chance tomorrow afternoon.  Water again.

Have a good one.
I've completed replacing the refrigerator door in the motorhome. Bottom bracket/hinge broke off last fall night before we left and i managed a quick repair with epoxy and a screw. We ordered a replacement but it came without the decorative front panel -- I was supposed to use the old one. I spent most of the week trying to get the top or bottom off but they seem to be glued on. Today I went at the side bits and it just popped right out.
Putting the door on and off is easy. There's a screw-in hinge pin; all you need is a 1/4" screwdriver less than an inch long. Luckily I had one in a ratchet handle.
Good morning all, we should have another cool day today, not suppose to get past the high 90's. It was suppose to be the case yesterday, but none of the weather forecasts show what it was like and I turned the news off yesterday before hearing the weather report. If I watch more than five minutes of the news, I will have to reach for some anti-anxiety or anti-depressant pills. I did catch part of our governor's talk yesterday, he's shutting down bars, gyms, theaters, water parks, inner-tubing or any gathering of more than 50 people. The order took affect at 8:00 last night, so a bunch of idiot-types flocked to some popular watering holes in Scottsdale and Tempe for a few hours of being able to spread the virus. Those same clubs are the ones responsible for his order in the first place. Let's hope his order applies to those protest marches and other protests. They berated our President for coming here for a rally last week, but said nothing against the large gathering outside that was protesting the gathering inside. 35

Yet another fire shutting down 1-17 for a while, glad there's an alternate route to Prescott. That one should bring the total to 14 wildfires currently burning in our state. Was a bit windy yesterday, which doesn't help things.

Have a great and safe day today Icon_e_biggrin
Greetings, gang.

75 with 96% humidity this morning. The high for today is supposed to be in the upper 80s with humidity in the upper 70s. Supposed to be like this into next week.

Quiet day yesterday. Bike ride early then swimming. Also made some track re-repairs. One of the repairs from last week didn't hold. I think I have it fixed now. Gas prices dropped 11 cents over the weekend. This morning I'll be heading to Walmart shortly. Then a bike ride before it gets too hot. Also need to swing by the bike shop to see if they have a tube for the other bike. I may get a train out to test the track repairs.

All stay safe.

Tom
85 and real humid.  40% chance of showers later this afternoon.  Out to backpack spray so it will dry in incase we get rain.

BR, good door replacement report.

Tom, good luck with bike.

Enjoy your day.
Hello Blue
Well the Chinese virus is keeping us home except for our kids.
So not much going on. Hi today of 88, 90's going into the weekend without any rain expected.
S.J.
Good morning everyone on this first day of July. Those in charge of things at city hall decided that they would have a non-attended firework display on the 4th. Then yesterday, I got an email saying even that was canceled. They are clamping down, some bars were cited for having too big a crowd, now they're all closed for a month. One chain of gyms decided that they don't spread the virus and are going to stay open. Don't know if we have those large groups of protesters downtown anymore, they apparently are non-news right now. I'm still not use to this mask thing but do put it on where I'm suppose to.

Watched the news yesterday hoping to find out how hot (or cool) it was. I know what the temps were at the time I was watching and for every hour for the rest of the day, they gave the high/low forecast for the next day, but never said what the high and low were for that day, so I'll assume that it didn't get above 99 and be happy with that. The newspaper will print a table today showing the high and low for everyday in July of last year, maybe they'll print what the high was yesterday, but then again, they're cutting back in the size of the paper, so maybe not.... Why is that important to know? It's really not, it's just frustrating trying to find out, that's all......
Welcome to the second half of 2020, gang.

May it be better than the first half.

Another hot, humid day in store. Humidity and temperature have been running neck and neck in the 80s and it looks like they will for several more days.

Yesterday was a good day. Got all the stuff I needed at Walmart and then rode the bike. After that I again rode the bike to the credit union and the bike shop. Lo and behold they had the inner tube for my bike. After lunch I got that installed and tested. While I was riding a crew showed up and started removing the asphalt from my street. Got 2 and a half blocks done and will finish the other block and a half today. They've already started putting the new asphalt down on the other two blocks. One of the crew told me they should be done by tomorrow afternoon. The crew has showed up moments ago and should be starting up again in a few minutes.

All stay safe.

Tom:

wish they worked that fast around here. Some of our streets are left at the grade for weeks.
Then they come by and pave them
