82 and some clouds.  No rain like guessed.  Rain yesterday evening late.  We have plenty for a few days.  Total about 2.75".

Got haircut and then met GF Relator  for lunch.  Actually picked her up in a subdivision 3 miles from her home.  She was doing her daily walk.  Cobb salad with two honey mustards and sweet ice tea.  We were the only couple in that restaurant.  We were there a little over 2 hours and finally 3 ladies came in and sat at a table across the restaurant.   How do they make money?  Got 2 new watch batteries and a extra big deer feeder battery a lot cheaper than Tractor Supply ones.

Out early to deliver produce boxes tomorrow.

Stay safe and well.
Good morning everybody, did it get as hot as forecasted yesterday? No, it got hotter, 118 was the number for Phoenix, some areas got a bit higher. I think I should do the reverse of what the snowbirds do, get a place in Montana for the summers, and come home for the winters. "Excessive heat warning" in affect through Monday, no hope of rain for a while, and even if it did rain, it probably wouldn't reach the ground.

Staying in, working on my layout wiring. got about another couple of hours, then testing to find out what kind of screw-ups I made. If you see a big flash and lots of smoke over the Phoenix area, it's not the railroad bridge burning in Tempe, but probably the one on my layout. Eek
Greetings, gang.

Partly cloudy and 61 headed for similar conditions with 82 for the temperature.

Went to Walmart yesterday morning and found everything I wanted to get. Headed for the checkouts and there were NO cashiers! Needless to say I was a little miffed. Left a cart full of stuff and walked out. Went to the local grocery store and got everything I wanted. I did go back to Walmart after lunch and got the oil and filter for the car. There were 5 or 6 cashiers open then.

Had an exhausting evening last night. Cleaned the oven. Push two buttons and walk away. Really tired after that.

Almost lost my drone last night. Sent it up to try and get some sunset pictures. The wind was calm at ground level but at about 30 feet it was pretty strong. Took me quite a while to get it back down enough get out of the wind. Gym this morning but nothing else planned for today.

All stay safe.

Tom
Hello Blue
WE are in the low 80s this week. Feels good fellers.
No news as the China virus is keeping us at home except for shopping.

Good morning folks

It is 72 going up to 78 with rain. It has been raining off and on since last night.

I removed the trees off the hill behind the farm. I also began breaking down the hill. I was able to save a rock face section. I see if I can get more of the hill removed today and possibly cut out the farm section.

I did some weeding in the front garden between showers. I figured it would be easier with the ground wet.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Produce boxes delivered.  Temps over 100 on weather station.  Heat warning today.  Will get up hoses and mow later when temps drop a little.  Got a big roast, potatoes, carrots, onions and celery cooking in crock pot [started this AM before leaving as Wifey working today].  Had two hotdogs for lunch from food trailer buddies up town.

Biggie TV station weather guessers will have a heart attack if the hurricane does NOT hit NC.  Why do you name a hurricane something no one can pronounce?

Was going to work on another siding in layout but UPS notified me shipment was late.

Enjoy the day.

Don then you'll be called a sun bird  Icon_e_smile Icon_e_smile
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and a decidedly chilly 56 degrees this morning. High for today will be an increasingly cloudy 82. Much cooler for the next couple of days with highs only in the mid 70s and lows in the low 50s.

Very quiet day yesterday and today looks to be much the same. Laundry and a bike ride are the two main items. If I get energetic I may change the oil on my car.

All sty safe.

Jim, at this point, I'd rather be called a Rain Bird, Waiting Waiting Yeah, I know, you can buy those at Home Depot. Icon_rolleyes

Good morning all, yup, still no rain, been some all around us but still no measurable rain here in Surprise since March. There might be a chance around mid-week, but then again, it might have trouble penetrating that invisible bubble around our area. Temps, I'm not sure what they got up to yesterday, but it was hot.

Did not get a chance to work on my layout wiring yesterday, too much going on right now to allow me the time. Icon_cry

As I sit at my computer every morning, I can hear a determined woodpecker outside. The problem for it is that there is no exposed wood for them to pick at and they must be trying to break through the stucco. You would think that they would be a bit more intelligent than that.... 35
Hot and humid.  Got grass mowed yesterday afternoon late.  Now off to FIL's for ?  Those two ladies have no plan.  Take truck and some tools.  We'll see.

93 and sunny.  Everyone screaming hurricane.  NC, maybe Outer Banks.  Think the steering air currents will push it out and north.  My guess.

Had my first microwaved frozen breakfast burrito.  Was fast and no mess.  Will do that again.

Hope all have a good one.

There's a reason for the phrase "bird-brained"
After the hurricane with the name no one can pronounce visits the Chief, it's coming North to visit e-paw and I.
Nothing like a bit of excitement to give the weather-guessers something to justify their existence Smile Smile Smile

Ahh yes, I though that only applied to humans and politicians, but now I know where that term came from. We do have birds here that make their nest inside of a cactus, now that's a bit smarter, no predator is going to be climbing up one of those. Nope

Good morning all, yup another new week and we're already into a new month. Folks back east preparing for the "no name" hurricane, and we're still looking for a trickle of rain. We did have a couple of tornadoes touch down here a week or so ago, no damage, but they called it by some other name that probably was hard to pronounce too. We get lots of "dust devils", I think of them as mini-tornadoes and do make a mess of things when they touch down. We also used to get a lot of tumbleweeds rolling around in the wind, but we don't see much of those anymore, I think it's the urban sprawl that's put an end to that.

Temps still up there, today should be the 31st day of 110 or greater.

Have a great week y'all. Icon_e_biggrin
Hello Blue
A little salt in the wound for you SW guys this morning. We have pouring rain with a high in the 70's for today.
A Detroit3Railers club meet yesterday that I did not attend because of the China virus. From the video they posted it may have kept quite a few from going.
However it was a short video so some members might have not been in it.

Greetings, gang.

Sunny, breezy, and 69 in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning. High for today is supposed to be in the upper 70s.

Long bike ride yesterday - 19 miles. Also got the laundry caught up and the oil changed. Watched a very entertaining F1 race this morning. The winner crossed the finish line with a flat tire. Several others had flats also. The announcers were saying the drivers pushed too hard but with that many flats I think it was a bad batch of tires. Today will be fairly mellow. I think I'll get the solar lights straightened out around the outdoor train.

Gas price yesterday was down to $1.91.9

All stay safe.
