Tired.  Two sets of produce boxes delivered.  Got home at 4PM.  Last ones were USDA boxes with milk, cheese, yogurt and fresh produce [heavy suckers].  Had a letter from the Pres signed Donald Trump.  They went into the trash.  Inappropriate to have campaign literature in those boxes.

Will rest now.
Good evening all.  I got the front yard cut today, back dog yard tomorrow.  I got the air brush out and put some yellow paint on the wreck train tender, and some light blue on 4 flat cars that will transport various carnival apparatus on my James Strates carnival train. I'm mixing my own colors with rustoleum 1/2 pints and getting good results.  I don't see much sense in paying the price for the paint they sell for the hobby when the cars and locomotives all have a slightly different color depending on the shop they were painted, the paint manufacturer, and even the painter and amount of air pressure. Then put them in the weather for 6 months and even different shades from one side to another.
I hope everyone on the gulf stays in a safe place.  The country needs some rain, but sure not 12 inches at a time.

I had a mail from the craft store today that their Thanksgiving sale (that's this weekend for us) will feature Christmas trees.
One of our big chains came out of lockdown at the end of summer and, due to no summer stock left and no fall supplied immediately put out Christmas in the seasonal.
Greetings, gang.

Sunrise is approaching and it's 53 degrees in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. The high for today should be a pleasant 75 degrees.

Yesterday was a pretty decent day for me. I had my last physical therapy session and then took some yard waste to the disposal site. After lunch I generated another load of yard waste that will be disposed of this afternoon. This morning is flag football for the great-grandkids. 3 games back to back and with an hour round trip travel time it will fill up my morning. Last games of the season so I don't want to miss them. After I take the yard waste I may stop by a car wash. I may also get out a train and start a fire in the fire pit if it's not too windy. The last two strings of solar rope lights for the Backyard & Southern should arrive today so I'll be installing those.

All stay safe.

Hello Blue
Sun and 75 today. Tiss the last of the 70s for awhile.
My wife is spraying cleaner on the windows, to me it's a useless endeavor with winter coming but you try and tell her that.
A Detroit3Railers meet today. I will not attend because of the China virus but some will. It's their call.
S.J.
Prayers for those in LA and where the storm hit.

Raining and 66. Radar shows it stopping soon. Will be an off and on rainy day. That's OK. No Wifey projects [think most are now done].

4 to 1 fight in Walmart in Rocky Mount NC. Guy tried to run away and got shot. Yes, inside the Walmart. 4 guys on the run [they know who they are]. Stupid. Guy is recovering in hospital.

Have a good one.

Greetings, gang

Hazy sunshine and 59 this morning with a breezy 82 the predicted high.  90% chance of a hlaf to 3/4 inch of rain tonight and much cooler weather for the coming week.

Yesterday went pretty much as advertised - flag football, yard  waste disposal, and train running.  No car wash as it was closed.  No fire as I was too lazy.  Watched a fairly routine F1 race this morning with a bit of a wild card thrown in - low temperatures.  Normally races are run when the temperature is at least in the 60s.  At this morning's race the temperature was in the mid 40s which made it difficult to get tire temperatures up enough for them to work reliably.  Lots of silly mistakes by some very high priced drivers.  This afternoon I'll be conducting another leaf round up.

Frank - thought you might like this.

Slept till 9 as raining off and on.  Church on computer as raining [was to be outside].  Then caught sermon of Hayes Barton Baptist in Raleigh on TV.  Now to get going to do nothing.  Maybe Train Box tinkering.

Farms tomorrow.  Clean out stands and camper.  Finish filling feeders with corn.  Tax hearings Tuesday.

Have a great week ahead.
Good afternoon.
We have rain moving in. I finished mowing, hen I climbed on the roof to try to find a leak. It is around the vent but there is absolutely no reason for it, and no bad shingles to the peak, in fact the whole roof is in great shape. I spread a little caulking just to make me feel better, I put some on the down side of the shingle above the vent flashing just in case the wind is blowing the water up under it. I plan on a new metal roof when I do it and the vent pipe will be relocated to go out through the side wall toward the peak of the roof, there will be nothing to flash around.

I sprayed the grass growing in the driveway one last time for the year.  I need to have a couple more loads of limestone spread to stop that. I have too much driveway, but at least that is something that doesn't need mowed.

Don's late this morning. I hope he just slept in.

I missed having a chat last night.

Wishing you all a great day.

Good afternoon folks

It is 64 going to 67. It is dreary out but no rain. They say 70% chance of rain. Right now, rain is in Ocean City, MD and Virginia. Looks like it is heading to the northeast but not sure if it will reach us.

Took the wife out yesterday. We went to Bed Bath and Beyond. Wanted to go to the local one in Springfield but it was too crowded for her liking. Decided to drive now to Wilmington, DE and go to the one just across the state line. She was happy. Got what she wanted and a couple of extras. We then hit CVS to get some OTC meds and some Halloween candy. Then spent the rest of day helping her getting the Chromebook work gave her set up. She is going to take that with her when she goes in on Monday instead of her private laptop.

Slept late today. Got up and made brunch. I have been doing some cleaning around the house. This the first I have gotten to sit at the computer today. I hope to do some weathering later today. I have a few items marked on eBay and I am debating if I am going to try for them or not.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Greetings, gang.

Got about a third of an inch of rain overnight. That's all we're allowed for the week apparently. Skies are clearing and no rain in the forecast for the rest of the week. 49 now headed for the upper 60s.

Lots more leaves down overnight. Job security I guess. Not much on my agenda for today.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning everyone.
I did a few little chores yesterday and wasted the rest of the day. Probably do the same today.

Home from the woods.  8,875 steps.
Foggy and 62. Out the door for tax appeals hearings.
Greetings, gang.

Lots of sunshine and 47 outside my window this morning. The high for today is supposed to be in the mid 60s. 75 and very windy for tomorrow. After that the highs will only be in the low 50s.

Fairly quiet day yesterday. Trying to get more information from my son on his pending treatments. He took the test for the clinical trial and is waiting to find out if he qualifies. Also found out my granddaughter's cancer is at stage 4 but remains very treatable. At this point there is no cure but treatments exist to keep it completely under control. Not much going on around here. At least with the physical therapy I had something to do. Need to haul off some yard waste this morning and also make a run to Walmart.

All stay safe.
