Weekday evenings work best for me. Saturday afternoons are too unpredictable at this time. If Saturday works best for everyone I will try to make it.
Hunting Friday afternoons, at camper Friday night, hunt Saturday morning and afternoon.  Back home after 9 PM.  Then unload and shower.
61 and fair. Doesn't seem to be foggy like yesterday AM.

Off to werk.

Enjoy your day.
Good morning everyone. Temps starting to drop a bit, maybe no more 100's for this year. Still hot enough that the A/C kicks in, even during the night.

Suppose to have had a medical insurance PA come by and check me out, part of the plan I have with BCBS. Was going to cancel, but instead, they canceled about a half-hour before they were suppose to be here. They offered me a new appointment around the end of November, this time I did the canceling...

Pat offered to help me move my layout into a larger area. Right now, it is in the smallest bedroom in the house. My "den" is in what should be the living/dining room so there's plenty of open space there. A lot of heavy lifting.....for him and his SIL...., not me. Nope I'm at the age where I can watch without feeling guilty. Goldth

Haven't heard back from the chat guys yet, except for tompm. I can do Thursday or Friday evening so we can include Tom, Saturday afternoon makes Tom kind of iffy....  everyone, let me know here

Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 34 right now. High is supposed to be in the low 40s with a chance for some sprinkles a little later on. Had a brief snow shower yesterday morning but not as bad as Des Moines (about 90 miles south of me). They got 8 inches of surprise.

Massage yesterday went well and whatever she did seems to be working well. Already feeling better. Also went to the gym and stopped at the grocery store. Only items on the agenda for today are a trip to the gym and (maybe) some house cleaning (not that it needs it ?).

I'm in for the video chat whenever with the exception of Saturday from 11 AM to 2:30 PM (college football).

All stay safe,

Tom
Good morning folks

It is 60 going to 73. To my surprise I woke up to rain. Not a heavy or steady rain. When I checked the forecast before going to bed, they said today would be partly cloudy. Now they are saying drizzle all day.

I worked on weathering three more boxcars last night. While finishing them I realized the three cars I did on Sunday have metal wheels, so I need to go back and weather the wheels on them. More weathering on tap I hope for today. I am trying to knock down the Wall of Trains. Once I have it down to a few pieces I will get back to working on the layout rebuild.

I have to run to another PetSmart to get prescription food for the dog. The closest one in Springfield is out of the type he needs. Last time I this happened I went to the one just across the border in Delaware. To my disappointment the store was a disaster. It looked a bomb had gone off and it had not been cleaned in a while. Given the current situation I am not comfortable returning to that store. After doing a search I discovered the store in King of Prussia has a vet in it and should carry the needed dog food.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Home from work.  Actually finished at 1:45.  Ran some errands.  81 and sunny.
Morning. 69 and fair as the sun rises.

Off to werk [oh my, two days in a row].

Stop by Boj's on the way out of town.

All have a great day.
Good morning all, a nice cool morning, low 60's with highs in the low 90's this afternoon. Big difference from recent days as 90 being the low.

I like that Frank, but you're blurring the line for us retirees. I really hope that they don't expect us all to start doing that again.

Our other son, Tim, is going to spend the day just to hang out with his dad. He though we could go to Cabela's. I checked their web site and they have great prices on ammo, just one thing, my money is on them not having anything in stock. The store up in Prescott that advertises, "wholesale prices to the public", is selling "government contract 9MM/147gr" for $90 for a box of 50. The government might not mind paying those prices but that's a bit harsh for the public. Shooting at bottles or paper targets at almost $2.00 every time you pull the trigger, you really hate to miss at those prices. 2285_ Blaster A year ago you could get a box of 50 9MM for $10 at Cabela's with no limits. As for .22 cal, a brick of 550 Remington used to be under $25, I just bought a brick of 500 Wolf brand and paid $65 for it. I'm not sure where this is going but I've heard all sorts of reasons for the shortages and high prices.

Enough of that, I filled up at the new Costco for $1.92, most other stations are going at around $2.35 and up.

Stay safe and have a great day..... Icon_e_biggrin
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 36 at the moment with a predicted high near 50 and partly cloudy skies for later.

Pretty quiet day yesterday. This morning is round 2 of massage therapy. If improvement is as rapid as it has been this won't take long at all. Otherwise a trip to the gym at 10 and other items to be determined later. I only need about 20 more miles on the bike to hit 1100 for this year. Hoping for at least 1 more day of decent weather before I put the bike away for the year.

Gas price here has dropped to $1.88. It will jump to over $2 exactly two days before I need to fill the car again.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all,  nice day yesterday, low 60's to start, low 90's in the afternoon. Looks like most guessers have rain in their forecasts starting on Sunday for a few days.

We did go to Cabela's yesterday, can't believe the prices of guns, many now are up in the four figures. As far as ammo, the only thing left there was stuff that no one had guns for. I'm OK with what I've got for now. I fixed one gun with parts I bought from the manufacture that said they couldn't fix it because it was too old and sent me a letter that got them off the hook just in case I did get it to work.  That's no different than any other manufactured item, planned obsolescence, sometime perseverance works. The cost of parts was less than they charged me for shipping to not fix it.

On to modeling, I've been pecking away on my layout, gives me some distraction that I need. We are going to have a chat session on Friday night, that's tomorrow, so please, if you're interested, sign up in the chat thread.
Good morning folks

Temperature is 64 heading up to 72. Second morning in a row we have dense fog. I can only see about halfway down the block this morning.

Spent a part of the day running my son back and forth to early voting location. His job is to help voters by answering questions and showing them where to go. Lines were long and at the location he was at it was taking about 2 hours from the time someone got in line until they were done. Spent the rest of day doing some household cleaning.

I had a frustrating train running session last night. I was using my Atlas CNJ RSD-4/5 locos pulling a 15-car train. The locos kept derailing. The front wheel of each rear truck would come off the track. I spent a good while trying to pinpoint the location where it was occurring, but I could not. I then decided to reverse the locos and the derailing stopped. However, at low speeds they were surging at various points on the layout. I cleaned the track and checked connections to no avail. This the first time I have had an issue with Atlas locos. If time allows, I will try to investigate further.

More weathering if I have the time.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Greetings, gang.

A low grade thunderstorm is underway outside my window this morning. Off and on showers/storms are predicted for the day. 40 now headed for 48 later. That's somewhat disappointing. Earlier in the week the prediction for today was near 70. More fake news fro the National Weather Service , I guess.

Got another herd of leaves rounded up yesterday. My shoulder was sore most of the day after my massage yesterday morning. Still a little tender. Not much on the agenda for today. May go for a walk in the rain later. Looking forward to the Zoom session tomorrow night.

All stay safe.

Tom
Wow, what a long early Human Services Board meeting. [for which I do not get paid but donate stipend, that is for certain folks Icon_rolleyes ]

71 and sunny [feels warmer].

Actually worked overtime yesterday.  Finished at 2:30 instead of 1:45.  Too many folks showed up for tax appeals.

Now go help a school board member get reelected.

Have a good one.
We had a small disaster today. SWMBO dropped a yogurt tub on the floor beside me. Some of it must have risen 6 feet because I had it in my hair. On my glasses. Down my sweater. On my pants. And on my slippers. To say nothing of the stuff that just went on the floor.
Finally got onto car dealer and arranged for winter tyres. It looks like we won't be heading south this year. Don, you can rent the driveway to someone else.
