Greetings, gang.

March is definitely coming in like a lion. 30+ mph winds for the last 3 days and now rain on top of that. Snow predicted for tonight and tomorrow. 36 right now and that's predicted to be the high for the day. Whether March will be going out like the proverbial lamb remains to be seen.

Yesterday I started removing the linoleum from the basement steps. Eventually I'll have it all off. Also will be removing the kitchen flooring. After last year's new kitchen counter the old flooring looks pretty crappy. Gonna take a while to get it all out but it will be worth it in the long run. I already have the new flooring picked out and will order it next week so it's here when I get back from lady friend's house.

On tap for today is more flooring removal and a trip to the gym.

Continuing prayers for RT and his lady and all others in need.

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning. Chilly start but warming. Home things on agenda for a change. Mow grass. Have a good one.
Good morning all, the start of a fine workweek, or leisure week depending on what stage of life you're in. Temps right now a bit chilly with some wind, but headed up to the 70's. Forecast calls for us to hit 80 later on in the week. Possibly some rain this weekend. Got to think about going out target shooting again before it gets too hot to go.

Right now I'm still doing some organizing in the garage. Looking for some pegboard with the smaller, 1/8" holes, but all I find is the stuff with the larger 1/4" holes. I don't know why they decided to change but I guess I'll have to go along with the trend and buy the larger hooks. Yeah, you can use the smaller hooks in the larger holes, but they don't stay tight and will usually fall out when you remove the tool they're holding. Progress is not always for the better..... Nope
Good Morning Blue
Bright sun and 37 for today's high.
No toy train events till our club meet on the 17th.

Good morning everyone, looks like another nice day in store here, not so sure about other parts of the country though. The weather is a mess in places and you wonder how Mother Nature got so upset to take it out on those people there. We need rain here, yet other places are getting more than they can take.

Just so you know what's in store, we are planning some updates to Big Blue. We need to move to a different server soon, and so we do plan on changing the software that we use when we do. Things will look and act basically the same, just that we will have a few more features and things will be easier for us to maintain. We will be dropping the chat room, no one seems to be using the one we have right now anyway. Not like days in the past. I guess the social media has a lot to do with that. We are hoping to update ourselves to the current times. We will keep you posted as we get closer. We've done some testing and found that all member info and all photos can and will be moved to the new place, and all threads will remain intact. We will keep our current color themes as well.
Morning. Chilly, windy and cloudy. Rain later. Got meetings off and on all day. Later.
Greetings, gang.

Windy and 32 in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Picked up about 3 inches of snow overnight and it's melting rapidly. Rest of the week will be in the upper 30s and low 40s so the snow won't stick around long.

Yesterday did not go quite as planned. Was getting ready to go to the gym when the phone rang with an unfamiliar number. Almost didn't answer it but decided to. The plumber wanted to come out and clean my sewer. I had told them last fall when they replaced the water heater to do that when they had some free time as it was preventative. Glad that's done for this year.

Went to monthly bereavement group with the new bereavement coordinator. Waste of time. She just let us shoot the breeze. I can do that on my own time. I expected some guidance or information or something. Pretty much done with that. Finished getting the linoleum off the basement steps yesterday. Today I'll be using a heat gun to get the remaining cardboard off while trying not to set the house on fire.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all, well we did hit 80 yesterday and it'll be that way until this weekend where there's some chance of rain and a bit cooler out. Something to look forward to.

The TV "newscasts" and even the local newspapers here keep showing the different things to eat at the Spring Training games, some really outlandish foods. Footlong hotdogs with enough stuff on them to feed a large family, hamburgers that you measure the height with a yardstick, a bowl of chips with enough stuff to fit over home plate and some "chef inspired" creations that are hard to describe. It's just that they never mention the prices for any of this, but I'm guessing that they aren't cheap. Nothing is cheap at any kind of ballpark or stadium, that's for sure....
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 16 outside my window this morning. High for today is supposed to be about 30.

Got most of the cardboard off the treads yesterday. I'll finish that this afternoon and start working on the risers. Don't have to be real fussy as the new laminate will cover a multitude of sins. This morning I'm off to the gym. Also need to put away all the clean laundry from yesterday.

Prayers for those in the path of the storm on the east coast.

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning. 41 degrees and cloudy. Suppose to go into the mid 50's. So far temps bouncing up and down. ???????

Tom, good luck on the job.

Later
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 14 right now headed for a high of about 30. Warmer tomorrow.

Finished the basement steps yesterday after a trip to the gym. This morning I'm off to Walmart and Fareway (a regional grocery chain) for much needed supplies. Then this afternoon I'll start (and hopefully finish) the three steps from the entry to the kitchen. The entryway and the kitchen itself will take more work as I need to move a few things out. Also with a greater volume of debris I'll need to get a small dumpster.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all, another nice day in store, still in the 80's until the weekend where it's now up to a 20% chance of rain.

Got a call yesterday from "Microsoft Security" telling me that my computer and Windows licenses have expired and there would be dire consequences if I didn't call the toll-free number back. Gee, I wonder how they even knew which computer I was using at the time. 35 It was a robocall, not someone from some other country so I couldn't even tell the caller to...., well, you know..... 2285_ Shoot

How dumb do they think we are?
Morning. Sunny and 35. Warming. Rain later. Town day starts at 10:30 and lasts until late night.

DAZ, got email yesterday Amazon security was expiring. Click on link to update.

Have a good one.
Greetings, gang.

Partly cloudy and 22 outside my window this morning with a predicted high in the upper 30s. Rain tomorrow night and Sunday morning.

Still have one more tread and three risers to clean off. Then I'll start on the entryway and the kitchen floor. I'll need to get a small dumpster for that. May start that today or maybe wait until Monday. Also plan to make a trip to the gym. Never made it there yesterday as younger daughter called just before I was going to leave.

I'm pretty much done with the monthly bereavement group run by the local hospice house. New coordinator has no plans, no suggested readings, no materials to present to the group. Just lets us shoot the breeze for a while. Time to move on.

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning. Was cold last night but warming fast. Weekend is suppose to be bad rain. May cause northeasterner [hope not].

Tom, about lady friend time. Wink

Later.
