Morning. Cloudy day. No fall here. Busy day starting at 11:30.
Sad day here. Trooper shot early this AM on a traffic stop. Shot multiple times. Suspect [why they use that word] captured after chase and foot chase. My question??? Why is he still alive? Save trail and lots of money. Says a lot for the officers who captured him.

Quiet day yesterday. This morning I need to make a grocery run and then start on the leaves. Quite a few out there as it's been too wet to pick them up. Then this evening it's my usual Thursday night group.
Frank - very sad indeed. There are some sick people out there.

I always cringe when I hear "Suspect" in this situation, but our Constitution states Innocent until proven guilty.
Police around here always handcuff these murderers with the fallen Officer's handcuffs as a reminder that "the person you shot is getting his or her revenge".

One just posted about a bad accident on the PA turnpike, they traveled 11 miles in 5 hours. That sure kills the MPG.

Light rain and 50 degrees this morning. Rain is supposed to end, skies will clear, and the temperature will rise to the mid 60s. So says the National Weather Service.
Got the kitchen cupboards restocked yesterday morning. After that I got the leaves picked up. Didn't do a thorough job as it's still early in the season with lots more leaves to fall. Talked to one of the neighbors yesterday and found out that my next door neighbor is moving at the end of the month. They've been slowly cleaning out the house. They are the only people who have lived in this neighbor hood longer than I have.
This morning I'm off to the gym and this afternoon I'm not sure what I plan to do.
Continuing prayers for Don's recovery.

Thanks again to all of you for your prayers and concerns. I'm due for one more surgery next week, let's hope this takes care of the situation. The doctor says one day in the hospital, then home.
Been a busy day yesterday on our streets. The Cardinals were getting trounced on national TV on the west side of town, ASU was getting beat, just not as bad, also on national TV at home on the east side of town. All this sports traffic was clogging things around the same time President Trump flew into Phoenix and headed to Scottsdale to spend a few nights, naturally closing freeways and surface streets along the way. Glad we didn't have anyplace to go.
One thing that's always made me wonder, but the Cards got beat so bad yesterday, (45-10), and are now 1-6 for the season, so they fired one of the coaches. Now this coach has been fired a few other times by other teams, I guess he wasn't good then, why did the Cards think he'd do better for them? It happens all the time, one team fires a coach or lets a player go because they're not doing a good job, and so another team snaps them up thinking they got a good deal and a winner. Just a bit crazy thinking on somebody's part.
On a good note, they were able to rescue someone yesterday that fell into a 100' deep mine shaft. He was there 2 or 3 days (depending on which TV station you were watching), and had to fight off several rattlers. He's got two broken legs, but thanks to his son going out looking for him, they got there in time. This happened in the desert about 40 or so miles just north of where we are.
Morning. Mostly cloudy and some showers. Had a great hunt. 3 bucks yesterday morning. All within 75 yds. Largest was big six. Had him in cross hairs for 20 minutes. Let him walk. Big 8 next year. Hunting the big 8 on camera constantly. Probably the big 6 let walk last year.

Clear and cool this morning at 25 degrees. High for today is supposed to be in the low 50s and breezy with winds up to 25 mph. Yesterday was downright windy with winds over 35 mph.
Yesterday morning I got the laundry caught up. In the afternoon it was college football and last night I went to a play at the community theater. Started slow but was pretty funny by the end.
Only thing on tap for today is the F1 race from Austin this afternoon.

Sunny and 37 this morning. High for today is supposed to be in the low 60s with only light winds. Pleasant change from the last few days of much higher winds.
Watched the F1 race yesterday and then walked for about an hour. It was still too windy to ride the bike. Busy day ahead. Off to the store for a few things then it's time for the next leaf roundup. Also going to try a bike ride this afternoon.
