Greetings, gang.

Clear ad cool at 4 degrees this morning. High for today is supposed to be in the mid teens. Precipitation chances take up residence this evening and stay until Thursday.

Very lazy day yesterday. I did get the bills payed but otherwise did nothing. This morning I plan to go to the gym but beyond that I din't have any goals for the day. Right now I'm waiting for the paper to arrive.

All stay safe.

Tom
Hello Blue
Cloudy and 35 degrees.
We have a club meet on Saturday and another show coming at the end of the month.
Plus a smaller show this weekend. I haven't been buying though. Still like looking.
S.J.
Real busy day.  70's and so worked outside and helped Wifey too.  Late afternoon and night had meetings [two].  Out the door to Edgecombe and farms.  50 degrees and sunny.  May hit 80.

Have a good one.
Good morning all, heavy rain last night, enough that this morning's new shows a water rescue just north of the valley. Lots of snow up in the high country, as usual, there are news correspondents right there showing us the hazards and the fun of being in heavy snow....
Last Tuesday I had to hoist the garbage bins onto a snowbank. Yesterday they went out on the grass. Today was freezing rain and friends; we nearly didn't make it back up the driveway into the garage. The Post Office cancelled all deliveries.

I've been making a free kit that came with a magazine for a derelict van body. Five pieces and I've been on it for nearly 3 weeks (on amd off). Found that my plastic glue no longer works (bottle from a shop that closed 20 years ago or more) and the other glues I had didn't want to hold. Roof had lots of thick flash and was a different curve than the ends. Freshly bought paint didn't want to go on smoothly. But it's coming.
Morning.  66 already.  BR, we may hit 80 today.  Felt like that at the farm yesterday.  Especially in the sun.

Where is Brother Tom?  Missing again.  Depend on him and DAZ daily.  Good to have others drop in.

Errands are the only thing I have on agenda [I hope].

Have a good one.
Greetings, gang.

Woke up (late) to another 3 inches of snow with more on the way. 6 right now and headed for 4 with winds up to 40 mph. Not gonna be a real pretty day.

Very quiet, lazy day yesterday. Made a grocery run early and goofed off the rest of the day. Today looks to be another of those days. Last night was one of my "sleepless in Fort Dodge" nights. Went to bed about midnight and couldn't go to sleep. Got back up and read until two. Didn't get out of bed again until after 7.

Nothing on the agenda for today other than running the snow blower. Was talking on the phone to a guy in California back in my working days and we got to chatting about the weather. Told him I was going to have to run the snow blower. He asked "what's that?" I told him it was that it's like a lawn mower for snow.

Probably skip the gym today and also skip my weekly group tonight due to the weather. With winds up to 40 mph and light, fluffy snow on the ground it's going to be really nasty out. Blizzard conditions to the north of me.

All stay safe.

Tom
Yup, still here and freezing.... literally. We do have mornings like this occasionally, the folks up north around Flagstaff got some 40" of new snow since Saturday and the cold air winds up down our way. Windy and hovering around 60 +/- for the rest of the week.

Making an honest effort to get my new layout started. The benchwork is completed, just need to move it into the house.
Greetings, gang.

Clear and cold this morning to be followed by clear and not quite as cold. -7 headed for +7. Snow starting tomorrow night and off and on for the next several days.

Quiet day yesterday. Ran the snow blower a couple of times. Thursday night group canceled. Light, fluffy snow and 30 mph winds make for less than pleasant travel conditions.

This morning I need to do some touch up work on the sidewalks after the winds from last night. Then it's off to the gym. This evening I'm going to the next town over to the est for a play.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all. Another cold one for a lot of folks, even us. We did hit the freezing mark and it's slowly coming up, but won't get too much into the 60's, well below our average for this time of the year. Yeah, I know, we don't have to worry about pushing snow out of our walks and driveways, no chains or sliding on the ice. If we wanted that, we'd move up north somewhere, but for here, 31 degrees is super cold, just glad it doesn't happen that often.

Got a call from Trainworld yesterday. Shipping charges via USPS was going to be around $42, wanted to ship UPS, but then I called today and it did go, "the most economical way", USPS. Still, getting the track and roadbed is a bit more important seeing as how most places our out of stock on Atlas flextrack. Got a case of 25 which should be more than I need. Even Walther's is out of stock. Someone on Amazon is selling one piece for around $12, reminds me when we had the ammo shortage a few years ago. Someone would wait for hours at Walmart, pay $25 for a box of ammo and sell it in the parking lot or on Craig's List for $100.
Lousy breakfast for elected officials. Sweet rolls, cantaloupe and pineapple slices. I laughed when one lady said out loud, "Where are the eggs and bacon?" That's Raleigh Chamber for you.

Now I made it home. Off to lunch as starving to death.

Only 82 degrees out and sunny. [shh, suppose to change soon]
Evening all, got tied up and busy working on a new project coming up this spring/summer. Cant tell you how much I dislike dealing with Engineers and over paid suits. It would be nice to see these guys get on the ground and get dirty. Anyways end this rant. this weather is gone nuts was in Lafayette La 2 weeks ago the weather was warm and nice and then over night the bottom fell out temps dropped into the 20s, got back to Tennessee temps in the 50s all the way up to 75degs and then yesterday the bottom fell out again its 17 out right now. Need to buy Mother Nature a chocolate bar!!!! The layout is progressing nicely, at least I'm happy with it. Need to get the tracks cleaned up, used a briteboy and some cleaner but not good enough I guess going to have to come up with something better. Well you all have a good evening and keep warm
Good morning everyone, really cold yesterday, temps in the high 60's, but I think the wind chill brought that down to around -5....OK, not quite that bad, but we had jackets on in the afternoon and the A/C on when we got into the van. Confusing at best. Also see people with tank tops, shorts and flip-flops on, they gotta be from Minnesota. Yeah, it's a lot colder elsewhere and I'm not complaining, just telling it the way it is.

Spring training folks are starting to come in. Some teams are holding events where you get to meet the players, and I'm guessing, get to put down some serious cash to get an autograph or buy a souvenir trinket. Bobbleheads of the players appear to be popular. I really can't get in the spirit of things, so I'll pass on that. Even though one facility is just about a mile from our house, I have yet to go to a game.
Good morning all, well not raining here in Tennessee, but a bit chilly out this morning A whole 9 deg outside. Screw this. Morning Coffee and then the wife and I are off to go play with the Accountant to get the taxes handled for the year. Oh what fun this will be! YEA ME!!!

Then after I get to go shopping with her for some new thing s for the house. Happy Wife Happy Life, I know, we will go out to lunch at least.
Well gentlemen you all have a good day and keep warm.
Greetings, gang.

Partly cloudy and 3 outside my window this morning. High for today could be in the low 20s. Snow tonight.

Went to the gym yesterday and got a good start and all of a sudden I just said screw it and came home. Was only there about 20 minutes. Last night I went to a play in the next town to the east. Very funny. Didn't get home until almost 11. This morning I went to great-grandson's basketball game. Always fun to watch the 7 year olds. Next up is laundry. Nothing else planned for the weekend.

All stay safe.

Tom
