Good morning from a chilly AM to getting up there PM. Today it should get up to 90, tomorrow around 97 and they're saying we could hit 100 sometime next week. Nothing official, it never is. Catchwords frequently used by weather-guessers are, "could", "maybe", "chance", and "possible". Maybe there's a chance that I could possibly get off their backs and let them do their jobs, but it's more fun poking at them the way I do..... Icon_rolleyes

Got lots of odds and ends to do today, still trying to catch up on my honey-do list, maybe some time to work on my new layout.
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 42 headed for cloudy, windy, and 53. Warmer tomorrow and nice for Easter weekend.

Grandson and his girlfriend were here last night. Grandson will be here until tomorrow. I'll be putting him to work in the yard today with general cleanup and helping put the winter toys away and getting out the summer toys. He's headed home to South Dakota on Saturday.

All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.

It's a beautiful (if somewhat chilly) morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Right now it's 36 with a predicted high in the mid 60s. Mid 70s are predicted for the weekend with a slight cooling next week.

Grandson and I got a lot done yesterday. Got the winter toys put away and the summer toys out. Also repaired a couple of leaks in the lawn shed. After that we brought a bunch of junk down from the attic for big junk day. Today we are planning a bike ride. Then later this afternoon he and his girlfriend are planning to go to dinner with some mutual friends. After that he will be returning to her paretn's house for tonight. Then tomorrow he returns home to South Dakota. I was informed by my older daughter that on Sunday I'm hosting a barbeque for her and her husband.

All stay safe.

Good morning all, today is Good Friday and Easter is on Sunday. Some folks have day off from work, but places like Walmart and Target are running on overtime selling clothes and candy.

We could hit the 100 mark today, if not, maybe next week. We are at that time of the year when it's anybody's guess.

Gas has gone over $3.00 in most places here, I see $3.05 around town. A few weeks ago I filled up at Sam's Club for $2.39, today it's $2.95, Costco is $2.89, but it's too far away to make it worthwhile going there for. There's talk that Costco is ready to build here in Surprise. One bit of trivia I heard is that when Costco  opens, everything is paid for including the land and the building, nothing is financed which is a good way to run a company if you have the funds.
Morning.  Weather alerts.  70 and rain off and on.  Nothing happening as raining. Later.
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 37 at the moment and it looks to be a beautiful weekend. Highs in the upper 70s today and tomorrow. With the low humidity I wouldn't be surprised to see red flag warnings posted later today and tomorrow.

Had another great day with my grandson yesterday. Went for a bike ride and then had the first running of the outdoor trains yesterday afternoon. Also met the new neighbors. Grandson is on his way home today. I need to do laundry and get some groceries for tomorrow's bbq.

Gas here is around $2.65. It was in the mid to upper $2.70s last week.

All stay safe.

Good morning everyone, bright and early for us here in the West. I once wrote an article about how hot the cold water here is in the summer, it was kind of a humorous story, but true. Well, it's starting again. On some days, the cold water is hotter than the hot water out of the faucet. One thing you learn very quickly here is that you never go near the water out of a hose that's been sitting in the sun for any length of time. Yup, this is about the time that all those snowbirds start heading back home.
Morning.  64 and sunny.  Breezy.  We had two lines of blowing hard rain and some lightning for off.  That was it for us.  Others had some bad stuff.  Haircut this afternoon.  Have a good one.
Hello Blue
Cloudy, windy, some rain expected. High of 47 today.
I went to a Good Friday service and then came home to do nothing.
The live steam Thomas will be at Henry Fords Greenfield Village soon. I usually help with the modular display but think I will pass this year.

Happy Easter, gang.

Cloudy and 56 in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning. High for today is supposed to be in the low 80s. Got to 79 yesterday.

Had a good day yesterday. Did some work on the tunnel for the Back yard & Southern, went for a bike ride, and got the laundry caught up. Then went to dinner with some friends. After dinner we came back here and ran the trains for a while. Very pleasant evening.

Older daughter and her husband will be here about noonish for bbq. Nothing else planned for today.

All stay safe.

Good morning, and a very Happy Easter to you all. Just staying home today with our traditional Easter ham dinner. No colored eggs, chocolate bunnies or Easter baskets, we stopped all that when the kids went on their own. We did get some Peeps at Walmart, seems like they were down to just a few at our local Marketplace, and out of Peeps at the big store. That's OK, we did get a box of yellow and one of pink which probably taste the same regardless of color. From what I hear, some people like to open the package and let them get hard before they eat them; no way, our rules say that you should eat the whole box-full within 30 minutes after opening it.

Anyway, we wish you all the best for Easter... 2285_
Outstanding good weather all the Easter weekend. We returned from a perfect Easter lunch with a special buffet. I will not visit the scale for some day ......
He is not here. He is risen.
Hello Blue
After a Saturday of rain we have sunny skies and 60 for today.
Our Easter meal will be with youngest son and his family. The other two will stop by later.
No toy train news.

Does anyone remember the horrible disappointment of the large chocolate Easter egg that was a mere shell and hollow inside? (or worse, filled with something marshmallowish).
As bad as a "candy" apple that turned out to be filled with real fruit.
