Beautiful day.  73 and mostly sunny.  Rain is gone.  Errands and County Commissioners [at 5].

Enjoy.
Hello Blue
Cloudy and 70 today. More rain expected as usual.
We did a morning trip for garden plants but the outdoor place we went to does not have all his stock in yet.
No train news.

Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 44 with a predicted high in the upper 50s. Rain starts tonight and last through Thursday morning. Could get a couple inches before it's all over.

Did some chores outdoors yesterday. Got some grass seed put down for a couple of bare spots by the front steps. Not much planned for today. One of these days I need to go to Des Moines to get some new suits. Seems the other ones "shrunk" around the waist.

All stay safe.

Good morning everyone, a really nice day yesterday to go target shooting. Something happened to all of our gun sights, if hitting the targets was our goal, then we could have done just as good by staying home. Icon_redface Very few targets were harmed during yesterday's session. Nope  Still, they say, a bad day shooting (or running trains), is better than a good day doing something else, or something like that.

Temps are suppose to be in the low 80's on into next week with rain in the forecast starting today.

Have a good one...

EDIT: Went to breakfast a bit ago and wow, lots of rain, a bit scattered, but it was the real thing. So cool that the car heater turned on. We've had the A/C in the house and car running for a few weeks now, so this was a total surprise... Icon_e_surprised
Greetings, gang.

Rainy, windy and 45 outside my window this morning. High for today is supposed to be in the mid 50s. Got about 3/4 inch of rain so far with the good people at the National Weather Service predicting another inch or so before it's all over tomorrow morning. Guess I won't need to water the new grass seed today.

Went to the gym, got the yard mowed, and went for a bike ride yesterday. Also got some minor chores done indoors. Nothing serious planned for today other than a trip to the gym.

Don - glad to hear the targets are safe. You can always scare them the next time you take them shooting.

All stay safe.

Tom
75 and sunny.  Mowed last Friday.  Needs it again.  Icon_rolleyes   Was at farms yesterday.  Planting it all in peanuts.  Applause   Not much on agenda today.

Have a good one.
Hello Blue
Cloudy and 50s for today.
We went to buy bags of dirt the other day but they were out, more coming tomorrow.
Thanks to my wife I have bought enough dirt over the years our yard should be about 6 inches higher than when we bought the house.

Good morning all, another big surprise today, May is normally a dry month for us, but rain two days in a row, with more on the agenda for later this week. Also, some new snow up around Flagstaff seems to be keeping skiing at the Snow Bowl open for a few more weeks. Some years, they've closed as early as January. Temps here are in the 80's, well below normal. Went to breakfast this morning and saw some people wearing jackets. Yeah, Denny's had their A/C on and I kind of wished I had one on too.

Yeah Tom, it's the humane thing to do. We usually just shoot plastic bottles and a few golf balls. We recycle the bottles, hit or otherwise, and collect the balls to shoot again the next time. Sometimes we do OK, sometime we have a heart and try to avoid hitting any targets, or so it seems.... Icon_rolleyes
Gunna try to squeeze in some work on my special project, there are others working on theirs as well.... Huh
Greetings, gang.

It's a cloudy, cool and windy day in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning. 36 right now headed for about 50 with winds up to about 30 mph. Not a pleasant day in May. Got almost an inch and a half of rain yesterday.

Got some laundry caught up yesterday and that's about it. Never did make it to the gym. Will try that again today, hopefully with better success. Also need to run a few errands.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning everyone, just a bit of rain here yesterday morning, the east side got a bunch later in the evening. Weather app says some chance today, none tomorrow, but second storm due this weekend.

Right now I can't contain myself, I got my Publisher's Clearing House packet in the mail. I gotta rush and get it in since they said that my number has been "entered in their sweepstakes" (no guarantee of being a winner, they say). I've always chuckled at their ads, winners jumping for joy, and that inch-thick packet of papers that make you search for all those coupons to paste in certain places to assure that you still have a chance to be a winner. Uh, I checked, and there are over seven billion, that's, 7,700,000,000 people in our world, yet your chances of winning the sweepstakes are just slightly below that, 1 in 6,200,000,000. The odds on being hit by lightning is only a mere 1,200,000. So you are around 5,000 times more likely to be hit by lighting than you are in winning the PCH sweepstakes. How I got back on their list, I'll never know since they told me a long time ago that they'd stop sending me packets if I didn't start buying some of their stuff, and I didn't... Waiting

Just about finished with my special project, keep tuned.... 2285_
Morning.  76 and sunny.  Mow and then meetings this afternoon until 8.

Back Dr. tomorrow AM.

Have a good one.
Good morning all, suppose to rain last night, but I think it missed our area if it did. Second storm comes in tomorrow, light chance of bringing rain though.

Got an email from Photobucket telling me that I'm among those that are using more than 25 mb/month bandwidth and that if I don't pay up, they'll start blurring my images there. What????, I've got several albums there but haven't even visited them in months nor given anyone links, so any bandwidth is being taken up by strangers. I've deleted some albums already, but maybe I'll just delete my account, I've got better use for the $7.00 a month that they're asking for just to have some people I don't know see what I've posted there. That, plus they say that they're raising prices in January.
Greetings, gang.

Sunny and cool at 59 this afternoon. Low tomorrow morning is supposed to be in the upper 30s. Warming trend for next week, so they say.

Busy day today. Burned some yard waste, went to Menards, put down some weed killer, filled some cracks in the driveway, ran the trimmer, and went for a bike ride. Tomorrow great-grandkids soccer will take up most of the day.

All stay safe.

Tom
Ah, yet another weekend is here, so good morning all, sleep in if you wish, I did....

Temps in the mid-80's for the next few days, possible rain today and tomorrow, much better chance of rain later on this week. Don't know why all this rain, but we'll take it, even if the weeds are starting to reach knee-high....

Have a great weekend, and remember, tomorrow is Mother's Day.
Greetings, gang.

Rainy and cold on the 2019 version of Mothers Day. 45 and almost a half inch of rain. High for today is only supposed to be in the mid 50s. Talking about the 80s by the end of the week.

Went to great-grandkids soccer games yesterday. Cold, windy, and mist/light drizzle. Not a pleasant day at all. Only Item on the agenda for today is the F1 race coming up soon.

All stay safe.

Tom
