Don, what I see looks pretty darned good, I am looking at only the finished parts and I think once the surrounding area is has the scenery in place and the grass and weeds have "grown" it will look fine. The highway needs blackened and the area weathered. For printed peel and stick have you ever tried Avery labels? I have used both the clear and the white and they stick great, but once down never up. I print them and spray them with clear and let dry real well before I remove them from the sheet. I use the letter labels and the size does not hinder because I have been using them to letter the sides of my autos and trucks. I print the background area to match the car much like you do when using white decal paper.

Thanks Charlie, I appreciate your assessment. The road is actually darker than it shows in the photo, but lighter than the intersecting one. I also think the cracks are too light and to many. I've got some Avery labels, what I've been using are some leftover UPS half-sheets which have good adhesion when I get them on wrong, not so good when they go where they're suppose to be. I've sprayed them after I have them in place, next time I'll do it before and see if that adds a bit of stiffness.....
Impressive wiring Don! I do think the road could be a little darker so it matches the other road. Or make the other road lighter
. Of course you can always say one road was recently repaved.

Like I said, the photo shows the road a lot lighter than it really is, but I will make it darker once I get my @#$@!! printer to work. Ink refills cost more than I paid for the printer itself...
My biggest concern is how the underpass looks. That's the thing that's been bugging me, do I work with what I have or do I start over for about the fifth time?
It's hard to say on the overpass being as it's not done yet. I think once everything is painted and weathered and vegetation has been added it will be O.K. Don.

Thanks for the input, I think I've just been working at it too long. I'll give it a break and go from there. Trying to print new roads, the problem is that I'm trying to print black, but the cyan ink is low and so I get something much lighter than what the photo shows. Who knew that if you want to print and off-black, you need blue to do it?
OK, I've been puttering around when I got a few minutes. Helped me relax a bit and to divert my thoughts. I concentrated on the underpass for now and added the control tower and Jill's lunch stand. I will redo the highway now that I've got printer ink. I have the underpass cleaned up to where I'm more pleased with it and did a bit landscaping. I'll finish off the rest as soon as I figure out what I think it should look like. I wanted to get the lunch stand in before my granddaughter Jill came by. It got smashed in one of our moves. I told her that I extended the hours the stand was open now that she's a bit older. It used to close at 6, now it's open until 10....

Thanks guys, I am a bit happier with it than I was a few weeks ago. Got more to finish, but at least I think I'm done with tearing out and redoing, well, except for that road.

Just a small addition, I wanted to be able to dim the lights on the layout. The small power packs that I had didn't have the power that they were rated for and wouldn't work after a few minutes. I was going to retrofit a power supply that I had built a long time ago, but then I found one on Amazon, 3 to 12 volts DC @ 5 amps, continuously variable. And for only $16.99 with free next-day delivery. it works fine and even has a digital readout.
I'm holding back on anymore work until we move the layout to a bigger room. I'll have help moving it, that's one advantage of being old.

I am amazed, I was going to do a 3 amp. DYI supply and just the transformer would cost about the same as I paid for this 5 amps with a digital readout and a lot less work. I'm happy, that's for sure...
