Waiting to be shopped for a 92 day inspection. [attachment=34418]Charlie
Hi Charlie---I'm always amazed at all the different varieties of Pennsylvania motive power---those "Sharks" are yet another example.
The CNR seems ordinary by comparison---here's a couple of "tea kettles" spotted at the Leetown Aberdeen St. engine house.

Ed - Your "tea kettles'" are beyond impressive. I am awed each time I see them.

Deano - Great lash up. I really like the Rio Grande patch loco.

Bruce - another great industrial scene.

For a quick photo here are a couple of E-8/9 locos

Tom,

You have quite a loco roster

Here's a couple of oldies, built as-shown almost 40 years ago...

Doc---thanks for posting your picture of the TH&B Geeps---they have always been some of my favourites from your collection.Long before models of TH&B diesels became commercially available through Atlas and Proto 2000 the only source for one of these classic locomotives was to have one custom painted and Doctor Wayne began creating these models that were sold through a local hobby shop probably 40 years ago.I'm not sure how many were produced at that time.Lucky for me one of these models---#73---became available through an estate sale at a local hobby shop and I was able to purchase it for my Leetown Division.

Not including my two originals, which made it to Model Railroader's Paint Shop, I did 66 TH&B locomotives - GP7s and 9s, along with switchers, and a couple in N scale and brass, too.  The first few dozen were done by brush, and for all of them, the TH&B herald on the cab was done free-hand, with a brush.

I also did 23 Roco insulated boxcars in CN And CP lettering, 6 Athearn SD-40-2s in CN black&orange, 2 GP9s, 1 GP35, and 1 C-424 in the CN sergeant-stripe scheme, 37 100 ton cylindrical hoppers in various CN and CP liveries, 7 CPR RS-3s in various CP schemes, with block- and script-lettering, along with one in Action Red, 6 NYC F-units in the lightning stripe scheme, 5 Stewart F-units in the grey/blue/white scheme, along with a couple of Wabash PAs in the same colours.  There were also several one-offs, mostly brass locomotives.

There was also a bunch of brass locomotives, mostly steam, and many of them for my good friend Ed (cn nutbar) - a lot of those got additional details before painting.

All of my own locomotives, steam and diesel, were custom-painted, too, and I would estimate that 90% of all of my rolling stock, past and present, got custom paint and lettering, too.

I wish that I could accomplish even half that amount nowadays.

Wayne, thank you.  I would be happy if I could get some motivation back to just work on the layout.

Bruce - Cool scene at the docks.

Ed - Nice photos. Must have been a fun trip. I rode behind 765 back in 1988 during the infamous "Garbled State" NRHS National Convention.

Wayne and Ed - Nice shots of the TH&B Geeps.
