Anyone else using an OLFA hobby knife?  These things are the bomb.  They're Japanese and apparently the blade of choice for Origami. Coworker of mine found out I do a lot of cutting of thin materials and bought me one.  Head and shoulders better than the XACTO I have, and the blades stay sharp a good long time.

I think I will see if I can find one and give it a try.
Ah ha, an N scale Xacto knife....  Awesome
That friend of mine bought in bulk - apparently shipping from Japan is quite costly for some reason.
Just broke my first blade - and I'd used it more or less continuously since last September and the edge was still great! I can tell you I'd never give that much love to an X-Acto blade.
Is this anything like you are using? knife

If that's the case, they have stock at my local Lowe's.
Yep! That's the one. My original buy had 5 blades, and I'm now on #2.... Good to see that Lowe's has them!

Me too, thank you both...... Thumbsup
Oh that looks slick! Are the blades for it proprietary? I could use something better than the cheap starter knife I currently have.
In this case, I think buying from OLFA is the play. As posted above, Lowes has the knife with blades, and count me a happy user (just put mine down while working with cardstock).
