I continued laying ground cover and adding grass on the left end of the layout. The scene is not finished yet, so don’t look too closely at these pics …

Hi Kurt, just curious, but did you manage to get the geep painted yet?
I'm curious how that would look in this setting, the GWS boxcar looks great!
Nice technique for the paving of the industrial area too, the plaster paint and sand method seems to be very suitable for that sort of thing.

Lookin' good Kurt. How'd you apply those Heki sheets? Did you cut out a random pattern then apply the other ground cover around it?

Koos, no, I did not get the geep painted yet, but it is high up on my to-do list.
Bob, I applied the ground cover first and then glued the Heki grass on. I take my time when glueing on the grass, only using small pieces and often stepping back to see if it is looking right.

I can't keep up with his great modeling as it is and every time he chooses another prototype, it causes me to rethink my own layout. I'm hoping he's just on vacation or better yet; that he's finished this layout and is now operating it.

Hi everyone, I think you might hear from Kurt himself soon, but he replied to my message.
All is well with him, he just has not worked much on the layout for us to see, but mostly operated on it.
I'll let him give you the details when he next posts here, but suffice to say all is well and happy new year from him to you all.

Good to hear this Koos - some of us tend to worry when our favorite modelers vanish for long periods! Will be eagerly awaiting Kurt's return and see how things are going with his Bushwick Terminal layout.

I am wondering, are you finding the Caboose ground-throws are holding up to use? I ask because I do like them but I found they did not hold up very long to constant use. I'd be interested in hearing your experience.
