Re: Bushwick Terminal - shortliner - 09-12-2013 Hi HD - Good to see you made the trip over - Jack Re: Bushwick Terminal - cnw1961 - 09-12-2013 HeavyDuty, welcome to the Gauge! I really appreciate your kind comments, especially as you registred just to tell me! I continued laying ground cover and adding grass on the left end of the layout. The scene is not finished yet, so don’t look too closely at these pics … Re: Bushwick Terminal - alcanman - 09-13-2013 Inspirational Kurt! Especially the groundwork. Mal Re: Bushwick Terminal - faraway - 09-13-2013 The ground cover is outstanding (as usual ) Re: Bushwick Terminal - torikoos - 10-12-2013 Hi Kurt, just curious, but did you manage to get the geep painted yet? I'm curious how that would look in this setting, the GWS boxcar looks great! Nice technique for the paving of the industrial area too, the plaster paint and sand method seems to be very suitable for that sort of thing. Koos Re: Bushwick Terminal - Rscott417 - 10-12-2013 Lookin' good Kurt. How'd you apply those Heki sheets? Did you cut out a random pattern then apply the other ground cover around it? Re: Bushwick Terminal - cnw1961 - 10-12-2013 Koos, no, I did not get the geep painted yet, but it is high up on my to-do list. Bob, I applied the ground cover first and then glued the Heki grass on. I take my time when glueing on the grass, only using small pieces and often stepping back to see if it is looking right. Re: Bushwick Terminal - Painkiller - 10-14-2013 That is some of the realisitc ground cover I have ever seen! Re: Bushwick Terminal - Rscott417 - 12-09-2013 Any updates Kurt? You slipped to page 2. Re: Bushwick Terminal - Painkiller - 12-13-2013 Looks to me that he is up to something new... or had a severe computer crash... Re: Bushwick Terminal - FCIN - 12-13-2013 Painkiller Wrote:Looks to me that he is up to something new...Oh No! I sure hope he hasn't decided to model yet another industrial spur! I can't keep up with his great modeling as it is and every time he chooses another prototype, it causes me to rethink my own layout. I'm hoping he's just on vacation or better yet; that he's finished this layout and is now operating it. Re: Bushwick Terminal - torikoos - 12-31-2013 Hey Kurt, how are things progressing at Bushwick Terminal? Koos (PS: I've PM'ed Kurt to make sure all is okay. ) Re: Bushwick Terminal - torikoos - 01-02-2014 Hi everyone, I think you might hear from Kurt himself soon, but he replied to my message. All is well with him, he just has not worked much on the layout for us to see, but mostly operated on it. I'll let him give you the details when he next posts here, but suffice to say all is well and happy new year from him to you all. Koos Re: Bushwick Terminal - FCIN - 01-02-2014 Good to hear this Koos - some of us tend to worry when our favorite modelers vanish for long periods! Will be eagerly awaiting Kurt's return and see how things are going with his Bushwick Terminal layout. Re: Bushwick Terminal - Genetk44 - 01-02-2014 Kurt...Happy New Year! Hope you had a nice holiday time. I am wondering, are you finding the Caboose ground-throws are holding up to use? I ask because I do like them but I found they did not hold up very long to constant use. I'd be interested in hearing your experience. Cheers Gene |
