I'm going to have to spend more time at You Tube looking for LAJ videos. I don't know who Snuffy is, but he sure knows how to get around Vernon or is very lucky. The LAJ is very hard to railfan due to all of the alleys and side streets they run through. Re: In the South - Russ Bellinis - 02-13-2011 Reinhard, have you seen this site? http://web.mac.comckjordan/The_Patch/Patch_Home.html I've heard a lot about Kieth Jordan and have read a lot of good information by him on one of the Santa Fe Yahoo groups, but just discovered his web site on the Patch today. If you go to photos and open the prototype photo album you'll find a lot of interesting photos of old industrial buildings in Los Angeles. If you are looking for the "Patch" on Google maps or Bing, it is the area around the where the 8th Street L.A. Produce Market is located near 8th, Alameda, and Olympic Blvd probably going East to Santa Fe Ave. and a few blocks North and South of Alameda & Olympic. I don't know how to copy paste a link with Firefox, so I usually open I.E. when I want to link to another web site. Igot lazy this time and missed a (/). Re: In the South - faraway - 02-20-2011 Russ, I did find that page too. It triggered another perspective of Vernon to me. It is my intention to have a mix of the "white boxes" and older and low profile buildings. Re: In the South - torikoos - 06-11-2011 Hi Reinhard, I've just checked your thread again, just wondering how it's getting on? Cheers, Koos Re: In the South - faraway - 06-11-2011 torikoos Wrote:Hi Reinhard, Koos, I am continuing in the "Freelance 2011" thread Re: In the South - torikoos - 06-11-2011 Okay, will take a look there :-) Koos |
