I used the Atlas station from my first "serious" layout in high school layout until last year when a scratchbuilt structure replaced it. Still on the layout are the proverbial Revell tool shed boxcar and crew caboose office... Some guy gave them to us a few years ago and the box art date them to the late 50s... They were unbuilt.

Didn't see Plasticville item yet. Until recently, I was still using my Clybourne/Juniata freight station and interlocking tower. Both acquired when I was in kindergarten. Man, time flies by.

Wayne, you make wonders out of these commercial kits. Railway bridges are such a standardized item on real railways, keeping the Altas ones is a safe bet.

Talking about bridge, I'm still using my central valley grider bridge I got in high school. It has found its place on all my layouts since then (maybe ten layouts) and will reappear on the new one under construction.

Anybody got Roundhouse 3-n-1 kits on their layout? Particularly their funny brick wall sections.

I've got a "station" that came from a 3-in-1 kit. It has stone walls. I think it came with some kind of log cars that were really hopper car frames.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about those when I made my earlier post.
This coal dealer's elevator, turned into a grain storage bin, uses a foundation made from the stone panels. There'll be an elevated dirt ramp into the dump shed when it finally gets installed on the layout:

The John Bertram plant in Dunnville uses brick wall panels from a 3-in-1 kit for their powerhouse, shipping and receiving area, and the building for their coal dump - that's the areas with the yellow handrails and the first flat-roofed structure attached to them. Most of the roofs are from a Vollmer roundhouse - I wanted to keep the Roundhouse parts with the parts from the roundhouse. Misngth

I used pretty-well all Roundhouse parts, including some of the unusual brick wall sections for the Northshore's oil house in Lowbanks. The platform is from a Walthers warehouse, I think:

I also have the Revell sandhouse and oil tank - they may end up on the layout's second level, if I ever get around to building it. Wink Misngth

Common structures are even more common (?) in N scale with fewer kits available back in the day. This kit was under the tree when I was 12....1972. Just seeing the light of day for the first time..

That kit is.......those kits are, the source for just about all my Seaport Village structures. Great right out of the box, and as "Scratchbash fodder" for almost any other type of small structure.

Nope Icon_twisted I didn't shingle any of those roofs :o , used them just as they are 357 . Also used the large dormer roof and front wall section to replace the "eyebrow" dormer of the Revell depot.
