After all these close-ups and little scenes I posted, here is an overall shot that shows how it all goes together. The pic shows the main (permanent) part of my layout. All the basics are done here and only detailing remains to be done.

Kurt...I was thinking about an overall shot of your layout the other day....You must've read my feeble mind....(not hard to do...
)By "detailing" I presume you mean making the little cans for the boxes....some closed and others open and scattered about. Or maybe fly spots on the windows..??

I used to have problems with scale fly spots on my models' windows, but that cleared up after I built some scale spiders. Dunno what to do about the cobwebs, though.

Kurt, the overall shot looks great. Gives me something to shoot for... or to copy!
DocWayne, the layout in the garage has them big ol' daddy-longleg spiders all over and the danged dirtdobbers were building nests in the buildings! The warehouse building of the GERN complex had one in it! And that is what prompted the halt of my original layout construction and after much contemplation and time, has me building the new building.

I think it was about time to post an overall shot. Haven’t done that since the beginning of the thread, and even that one was not up to date when I posted it.
Gus, I am still having problems getting the beers, sodas and beans into the cans, and I could not get the flies to coorporate as regarding the fly spots .... working on it
. Seriously, there is still a lot to be done on the layout. The big white warehouse and the little pink one at the end of the layout still have to be weathered. Security doors, steps, railings, utility poles, crossing signals, more trash, LPBs etc. ..... the list is still endless.Wayne, why don’t you give your scale cleaning women some scale feather dusters ... should solve the problem
I thought It would not hurt to take an overall pic from the other end, too.

Kurt...Don't give up on those little cans....A little patience and some very tiny tweezers should do it....
On a serious vein...That's an amazing presentation for the layout....
What is it that you use to cover the bottom front of the layout..??

Gus, I just cut the layout out and put it on a dark background in Photoshop. I looks much better, if you are not distracted by room around it.

Kurt, if your layout or even part of it is in the picture, few are likely to be distracted by anything else in the frame.

Bug bomb every six months takes care of that.
We have black widows and brown recluses in Colorado. A lot more bother than common house spiders.

Here's an example of an insect of some type causing havoc on the rails. (Be patient, it's a few minutes into the video, which is one of my favourites.)
