You could model a traffic tie-up with people standing around their cars until it clears. A few people looking to see what's going on.

Yep...just model a railroad with legendary passenger service...such as the EBT! Then you don't need any passengers in your coaches! 35

I agree with nachoman that a full passenger train sitting in the yards looks odd.

But you could have a full passenger train on a siding for watering...

If you are modeling the modern era outside of the Northeast corridor at least, you could model a full Amtrak passenger train sitting on the siding waiting for a seemingly endless series of freight trains to pass!

I don't think a "full" Amtrak train would be very prototypical Icon_lol

Should we show more photos of people on our layouts?

I took Amtrak back to So Cal from Albuquerque, N.M. the Thursday of Memorial Weekend. I had a coach ticket that I wanted to upgrade, they not only were sold out, they were even selling tickets to ride in the lounge cars, so the lounge cars were not available for any other passengers use! Every seat on the train was filled and they left a few people at the station.

88, the interiors look great, but something needs to be done about how they sit on the layout

Thanks VM.
But if you notice...The ground covering is still "Sculpta-Mold White".

That's good to hear. I'm not accustomed to hearing about full Amtrak trains here in the Midwest...but I'm sure that they are sometimes.

I too like the interiors. I consider it to be a joy to add interior detailing...even in boxcars.

Re: Using scale people ? - jim currie - 07-05-2009

i'll add mt two cents worth to this . as far as the amount of people look at photos of the time and place your trying to recreate . I drill a #78 hole in the foot of the LPB's and insert a short length of .015 music wire if the LPB is to be on foam scenery ,other than that i use sticky trap glue from a nursery supply house(left over from putting on cirtus trees)stays stickey for a long time you can repisition them several times .
