I fix all the wall with pva glue, screws and tilling mortar. I paint the ground with a sand tone paint before applying true sand.

I have done progress mainly on non visible element like cassette, dcc sound system, traverser. The only visual progress is the sand laying on t he layout.

Thanks for the info, Franck.  I somehow vaguely recall tintin...I think that maybe one of my aunts gave me a little tintin book when I was 3 or 4 years old.

I have made steel sleepers for the top track from evergreen u profile and from peco's running rail chairs. I paint it in brown then I used a graphite pen to simulate the steel shine.

Nice job on those ties, Franck.  They look very convincing, just like the real steel ties used on the Kiski Junction's extension to a coal mine...

Unfortunately, the track is being (or has been) removed.

This summer I visited an old line in France (circa 1905) with such kind of sleepers and they are still nice and effective.

I exhibited my layout for the fist time in France at RAIL EXPO. It seems that the layout was appreciated and I won the second prize.
