RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 11-20-2018 Bachmann's Peter Witt cars in PTC paint scheme (and the Baltimore front)
RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 11-23-2018 Next batch of details ![]()
RE: HO Streetcar - doctorwayne - 11-23-2018 That's a fast-growing city, Reinhard. Wayne RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 11-24-2018 The corner was next
RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 11-27-2018 The center block between Pharmacy and Ashmore Hotel got all window dressing, some signs and awnings. I will come back later for more signs etc. and all the sidewalk details (fire hydrants, letter box, newspaper machine etc.). I move west to do the next block now. ![]()
RE: HO Streetcar - Tyson Rayles - 11-28-2018 Very impressive! RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 12-02-2018 Riding a Bachmann Peter Witt trolley (a click on the photo transfers you to Flickr for a two minutes video clip)
RE: HO Streetcar - Charlie B - 12-02-2018 This is great. It reminds me of Pittsburgh which had street cars longer than most cities. Your modeling is astounding. Charlie RE: HO Streetcar - doctorwayne - 12-02-2018 That's a really good-looking downtown that you've created, Reinhard! Wayne RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 12-08-2018 Merging Bachmann Metro building and Walthers Rivoli theater gets a downtown movie theater. ![]() ![]()
RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 12-12-2018 I got Bowser New Orleans 952 streetcar from eBay. The story of the Brill car 5205 ( http://www.ectma.org/5205ahtml.html ) and color photos of Brill cars 5287, 5295, 5205 and 5234 in the FB group „Vintage Philadelphia“ is used as a guideline to create a PTC model with a paint job only. The route number place is ridiculous (I did not want to damage the shell), the numbers are misaligned (I do that all time undefined:-( ) and the route destination is from a Bachmann model. A „freelance“ car on a „freelance“ layout inspired by Philadelphia but I love it and it runs great. ![]()
RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 12-31-2018 I have two white Bowser SEPTA PCC on order from the US. The layout will be adjusted from the 50s to the 80s. A hotel has been teared down in the 60s and a cinema has been built. It was not a success and has been closed a long time ago too. I am afraid we will see some more signs of decay on my layout in the near future. ![]()

RE: HO Streetcar - Charlie B - 01-01-2019 Reinhard, you really are into the urban scene. Your work is fantastic, and your skills and speed are astounding. Charlie RE: HO Streetcar - faraway - 01-02-2019 Thanks for the nice words. A short meeting of the knife and the former front row Ashmore hotel made a nice background hotel ;-)
