Sounds like a fun outing. Wayne Re: Day trip for Gauge members - e-paw - 04-16-2009 don't worry you're in, I just need a minimum number to give to the Lehigh gorge scenic RR and the #9 mine. That now puts us at 12. Re: Day trip for Gauge members - jefelectric - 04-16-2009 Looks like a won't be able to make it. Got a conflict with a birthday party for my soon to be 90 year old ex-railroader uncle. Can't miss that as he has been like a 2nd Father to me. Hope you guys have a nice time in Jim Thorpe. Re: Day trip for Gauge members - e-paw - 04-17-2009 sorry to see that you wont make it. Have fun at the party and may be we'll catch you next time. Re: Day trip for Gauge members - tompm - 04-20-2009 Things have been so crazy lately I completely missed the updates on this and Mikey’s PM until this morning. I am still up in the air. It may come down to my wife’s work schedule. If see has to work then I won’t be able to go. If see does not work it will most likely be 4 of us. The bad thing is we won’t know her work schedule for June until mid-May. Re: Day trip for Gauge members - e-paw - 04-20-2009 That's fine .. I'll contact them some time this week about the group rate and post it when I here back from them. Then we still have to come up with a time and place to meet. It's only 4/20 we have plenty of time to figure out details. Thanks again. Re: Day trip for Gauge members - e-paw - 04-24-2009 Here is a copy of the email I have received from the Leigh Gorge Scenic Railway. Take a look and tell me what you think. Steve, Thank you for contacting us, and considering us for one of your excursions. Groups between 10 and 45 people receive a 5% discount on the total ticket price. Our prices this year are: Standard Coach: $12/adults $9/children Open Air Car: $17/adults $10/children This is not including the discount. In order to receive the group discount, we require payment in advance. You can call our office at 570-325-8485 Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM. If paying by credit card over the phone, I will need the order no later than June 11. If paying by check, I will need it no later than May 29 (two weeks prior to the date of your trip). Let me know if you have any further questions, and call when you're ready to make reservations. Sincerely, Laura Kennedy Director Lehigh PO Box 91 Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 570-325-8485 Re: Day trip for Gauge members - doctorwayne - 04-24-2009 Well, it won't be that easy to get all the money there to you, and, for only a 5% discount, probably not worth the trouble. That's a savings of only $.60 - $.85 per head, depending on your choice of seat - it would cost me more than that to mail it to you. Mister Nutbar and I will still be there, even without that discount. Wayne Re: Day trip for Gauge members - e-paw - 04-25-2009 yea I agree. Re: Day trip for Gauge members - ngauger - 04-25-2009 DANG!!! That .60 would have paid a toll on the way there!! tooges: |
