Canadian National class E-7 2-6-0 steam loco - GreenDiesel - 10-01-2026
Long story short, my son's girlfriend's grandfather has a favourite loco -- it's Canadian National class E-7 2-6-0. He used to watch it when he was younger, when it operated in New England.
He's about to turn 100 and my son & his girlfriend would like to buy him something related to this loco as a present. It could be an HO or N scale model, a static model, or something similar -- maybe even a painting? (There's an out-of-print book we could pursue.)
So far, we're not making any progress. Apparently, the real loco is now based at Exporail near Montreal, but my son says the railway museum there doesn't have much or anything related to it.
I wondered if we could find an HO model of a different loco but from the same class, and change its identity. Just thought I'd check with the folks here to see if they might have any creative ideas.
I'll add more details as & when I get them.
Thanks in advance.
