Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Fifer - 09-12-2009 This is todays progress , I got a lot of plastering done and the right hand facia up. All the facia is done and the Un-obtainium mine has found a home as well as the mine train. The dry wash area was also plastered and that whole end of the layout is ready for base scenery. Mike Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - thumsup - 09-12-2009 Mike, nicely done. Joe Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Fifer - 09-13-2009 Thanks Joe , today maybe some color. Mike Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Steamtrains - 09-13-2009 Mike..You're going like a "house 'a fire"....Good to see the Unobtanium mine has found its place as it will surely provide much needed jobs in that area.... Keep those pics & videos coming..... Mike Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - LiveSteamer - 09-13-2009 Nicely Done Mike. Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Fifer - 09-13-2009 Thanks Matt , Next , I think I will work on the mountain village . Mike Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Wiredup - 09-14-2009 you make it look way too easy Mike! It's inspiring to see you just plow through like this! one thing I forgot to ask... on your control pannel with the track plan laid out and the switches on it... when you throw one of those switches, does it throw the turnout? So can you use either the kato or your diagram to throw points? Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Fifer - 09-14-2009 Wiredup Wrote:you make it look way too easy Mike!Luke the kato turnout controls work all the turnouts and the panel switches are for block control when in DC mode. Thanks , Mike Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Wiredup - 09-14-2009 Fifer Wrote:Wiredup Wrote:you make it look way too easy Mike!Luke the kato turnout controls work all the turnouts and the panel switches are for block control when in DC mode. cool! Now, maybe you can answer this one... With the Kato turnouts... if I get stationary decoders for them, do I still need to get the switches? Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Trucklover - 09-15-2009 Mike, beautiful work!! Its nice to see that awesome Gravel Plant being used again!! I love that setup you have there with the bunkers and the conveyor Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - Fifer - 09-27-2009 I have been trying to get the backdrop finished all the way around . A new video will have to wait till next weekend. Also while not railroad , I have been working on a tree in 1/12 scale for Robins doll house. Mike Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - OBJack - 10-03-2009 Fantastic work Mike, You are certainly moving along at a rather rapid rate. You have done a great job on blending the backdrop into the layout. A question if I may, the tree for thee dolls house, do you intend to cover all the smaller end branches with the "silicon" or are they left bare? If so, is the wire paintable or does the foliage hide it? Re: ACTRR is being dismantled and re-constructed - tv_man - 10-03-2009 Great atmosphere on the countryside parts of the layout. Will have to check this thread more often for new pictures! |
