Had to resize these so I could get them on here. These photo's were taken between cassandra and lilly pa. I was up on the side of a hill taking these ones.

This shot shows you how high I was up above the mainline taking some of those shots.

Next shot of the signal bridge over the tracks at lilly pa.

That one unit there, #940, is that a slug?

It's a slug, from what I found out it is a rebuilt GP 18 from Norfolk Western. The NS site has it listed as stored.

Here's two more, the first from Cresson, and one from South Fork, Pa.

Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - pennman - 10-14-2009

Nice pics guys!! Love that Pennsy signal bridge!

Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - LiveSteamer - 10-14-2009

Thanks pennman. It is real easy to get to that signal as I have shown. I just back away from the tracks when a train is coming either way. The engineers just wave and keep on moving. That is one of two that you can get close to around the area I railfan. There is one spot in Jimtown, Pa, just outside of portage where the signals are mounted on a highway bridge. You can actually walk up and touch them. I took quite a few photo's of them.

Hey guys just wanted to let you know go check out the MOW page on the website. You will see new track equipment and the camp cars I caught a few weeks ago.
