Happy Canada Day! - MasonJar - 07-01-2009 to all the "Canadian content" at Big Blue! Andrew Re: Happy Canada Day! - ezdays - 07-01-2009 Yes, I just learned about that. We get so wrapped up on our own holidays and days of tribute that we forget that those in other countries have theirs as well. So, Happy Canada Day for all our Canadian friends, or perhaps this is just as appropriate: Re: Happy Canada Day! - Herc Driver - 07-01-2009 To Our Friends just north of the border... I live in a small bedroom community(population 400) outside Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and our town had some celebrations for the first time this year. We had a pancake breakfast, softball tournament, rib supper, bear gardens , fireworks, and even a parade. The parade was unique as it started with a firetruck, followed by about 30-50 kids on bikes decorated with flags, and lastly another fire truck. And to top it off the ball diamonds are right beside the CN mainline so we got to watch a CN freight go by about every 30 minutes. It was a great way to spend the day, PS I feel sorry for the folks who had to go to work this morning and are feeling a little "morning after" sickness. |
