Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - tetters - 03-10-2009 Nicely done Bro. Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - Trucklover - 03-10-2009 Shaun that signal video is great!! thats so cool that you can program it like that, man you have my mind set, i want to get some signals, who makes yours? Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - nolatron - 03-10-2009 Trucklover Wrote:i want to get some signals, who makes yours? The signal bridge (without targets) is a NJ International kit. I sent the kit to Richard at Custom Signal Systems for him to custom build with R/G targets at the measurements I needed. My single and double targets are all custom made by Richard as well. http://www.customsignalsystems.com/signalassembly.htm Fantastic work at a reasonable price IMO for searchlight style signals. I checked it out briefly, and your right, those are very reasonable prices Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - nolatron - 03-13-2009 Uploaded a new video showing off the Signal Bridge and Double Target signal on the lower level. Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - nolatron - 03-15-2009 This morning I finished up the vessels on the furnace kit. All that's left is the highline bridge and skip hoist. Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - Herc Driver - 03-15-2009 That furnace looks great! Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - Trucklover - 03-15-2009 Indeed, that makes me miss mine lol Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - nolatron - 03-16-2009 my new Kato SD70MACs with the BNSF "Swoosh" logo arrived today. They look great. I still need to attach the detail parts, though. Digitrax decoders for them will probably be here by the weekend as well. I'll by using these two engines to pull my 12 car BNSF hopper train. Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - nolatron - 03-16-2009 Tonight I finally got around to replacing the Digitrax Zephyr unit that was in the wiring panel with a Digitrax DCS100 Booster. I'll be using a Astron RS-7A (13v 5/7A) power supply I had sitting around to power it. Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - Trucklover - 03-16-2009 Those BNSF SD70MAC's are beauties!! I need a couple with the swoosh logo to go with my 4 BNSF H2 SD70MAC's lol Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - LiveSteamer - 03-19-2009 Great Stuff nolatron. Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - tetters - 03-19-2009 Your wiring is so neat Shaun. I love looking at how you've organized it all. Something for others and myself to try and achieve by example. Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - nolatron - 03-19-2009 tetters Wrote:Your wiring is so neat Shaun. It's a little ugly under the layout in some spots, but I wanna try and clean that up. Re: UP Elmwood Subdivision - N Scale Layout - nolatron - 06-15-2009 Been awhile since I've posted updates here, so here's a big update of what's happened over the last few weeks. 03-28-2009 Thursday night and Friday I made some additions to the terrain on the lower level. First I added a small hill to the foreground at the end of the lower level, and then a hill along the backdrop at the the same spot. It really helps fill the scene I think not having all that flat space. Then moving to a right to one of the corners: I didn't like this sharp drop the hill had, so I added some terrain to give it a more gradual slope down. And the same for one the banks along the river. |
