Monorails - TrainNut - 12-03-2008

Since a monorail doesn't fit in any of the other categories, I'll stick it here...

Re: Monorails - Sumpter250 - 12-12-2008

For what ever reason, age, distraction, loss of memory, I don't recall much discussion on the topic of monorails :?
In your "In The Spirit of Christmas" post I see your monorail. What scale is it, and who markets it?
I think, if this topic generates enough attention, it could become its own forum. There are enough monorail systems in use today, to warrant modeling one of them, or to include one in a modern layout. I would assume that Maglev would be considered "monorail", as the actual suspension cannot readily be seen, except for the appearance of the "track".

And...........just because I can't resist.......How can you determine the difference between "Standard gauge", and "Narrow Gauge" monorail ???
