Bridges, bridges everywhere! - TrainNut - 11-11-2009
A long time ago, (2004 I think) I was surfing around the net and came across a really cool thread on one of the older versions of The Gauge... bridges and lots of 'em! It was because of that thread that I joined and figured out how to start sharing pictures of my own!
Let's start one of those here!
Bridges, bridges, everywhere,
Big or small, I don't care.
Short or long, old or new,
Just one picture, or quite a few.
Post your pics for all to see,
I'll start this show with a selection of three!

This image is of the newly re-surfaced CN bridge at Lytton, BC, that crosses the very end of the South Thompson River.

Another 30 miles down stream, this is the famous crossover where the two Canadian Class 1's changes banks of the mighty Fraser River at Cisco.

This is CSX's (ex-conrail) bridge in Sidney, OH. The bridge below is an old road.

Here's a shot of the UP bridge across the Des Moines river in Fort Dodge, IA. I got a ride in the cab on an Operation Livesaver train. What an experience!

Wow Tom! That scene looks like the Bridge to Oblivion the way the fog obscures the valley. Cool shot..and a little bit of a leap of faith to keep the throttle open!

The large, scarlet-painted locomotive and cars roar north over a suspension bridge on the way to Hogsmeade station with a load of rambunctious scholars.
